Tanard Jackson appears to have again been undermined by off-the-field demons.

A league spokesman announced Wednesday that the Washington Commanders safety has been suspended indefinitely for violating the league's policy on substance abuse.

The announcement comes just two months after Jackson had been reinstated by the league and re-signed by the Commanders. Jackson hasn't appeared in a game since 2011 following a second suspension for violating the NFL's policy on substance abuse. It's his fourth NFL suspension overall.

Who was the last Cowboys players suspended by the league? The Commanders, Giants and Eagles have all had guys suspended recently. Seems as if Dallas needs to get better pharmacists on the team to keep up with all the PED/Substance use within the division.

Substance abuse suspensions are almost always about weed. This guy has never played a game for us, squandered millions, over a plant. People who say there is no addiction to that drug are crazy...or addicted themselves.

Class was right in line with your original post, and actually more based on facts as most already know marijuana is not a PED and the NFL makes no distinction between PED and other banned substances. So a list of PED infractions does not exist...

I tend stay away from these types of posts but obviously had a lapse in judgment. I even tried to delete it after about 10 minutes. I will bow out now. The floor is yours...

The league does make a distinction between PEDs and other banned substances. A player will get a suspension immediately for a PED violation. Players who are zapped for other banned substances go through a 3 stage type of format. They aren't immediately suspended.

Thank you for the clarification. It appears they do and according to this list, Washington does tie for first place with 2 for the time between the 2013 SB and 2014 SB, not that Wikipedia is the end all be all for facts...
