Report: Skins offer Campbell for 2nd-rounder

The Commanders reportedly offered Jason Campbell to an undisclosed team for a second-round pick on Wednesday.

The offer was probably contingent on Washington getting Jay Cutler from the Broncos with the pick as part of a package, which might also have included the No. 13 overall choice. The Skins have made it clear that they aren't committed to Campbell by balking at a long-term contract and now this. Apr. 1 - 8:31 pm et

so, if this is true and nothing becomes of it, I see Campbell having a bad year. I wouldn't want to play for a team that doesn't really want me...

I wouldn't give them a 2nd rounder for him. I thought he was drafted way too high. I like the kid, but he hasn't proven enough to be a 2nd round swap.

Any GM willing to give up a 2nd rounder for Jason Campbell should be fired immediately.

Isn't it Ironic that they traded with Denver to get Campbell, then the next year Denver got Cutler, and now they are trying to ditch Campbell for him.

Wait, I thought Commanders Fan said Campbell was a great QB because he didn't throw INTs or make mistakes like Romo, and now they want to get rid of him? Can't they make up their minds?

:lmao2:

If this trade doesn't happen, it's gonna be real interesting in D.C. this year.

He stinks. He had his best year in 2007 and that was the year where he kept throwing late game INT's to lose games.

And yeah, I know some Romo haters are going to say 'so does Romo'.

But the difference is that Romo will guide his offense to 27 points during the first three quarters while Campbell guides his team to 6.

Let's not even use "Campbell" and "Romo" in the same sentence (oops).

Tony is easily the better player. It's not even close.

I don't think I'd offer more than a 4th rounder for Campbell.

Just a 2nd rounder hypothetically for Romo? I don't know...He's a game changer and a flat out winner (record wise)...

The best the Skins offense has really looked in recent years was 2 years ago under Todd Collins. Campbell has the tools, or so we're told, but he is exactly what everyone said he would be when he was drafted - too high at that.

If Cambell could play against our secondary every week he would be like Brady! This guy has always had our number since he became a starter.

I think they are making a huge mistake. Snyder has absolutly NO patience!

That would be stupid. His best bet if nothing transpires is to play lights out (or try to) and then leave w/a lucrative deal elsewhere next year.

I want to see the package that the Skins are going to send to Denver for Culter, but they are not going to get a second rounder for Campbell, that's just wishful thinking.

QCampbell is awful. He might be able to pull a 4th from a team needing a backup.

What is going to be interesting to watch is whether, after the Skins dump QCampbell (or give up the farm for Cutler) whether all the idiots Skins fans finally admit that QCampbell is garbage. Up to this point, they have blamed everyone else on their team and made up a lifetime of excuses in a desperate attempt to deny his suckitude. They still maintain he is Pro Bowl-caliber. Can you imagine that level of cognitive dissonance?

That's not how I've seen it. The dude has been beaten 2 out the last 3 times he's played Dallas. I don't know how that equals that he's had our number.
