He's Jerry's Boy. Jerry likes him because he says all the right things and knows what Jerry wants to hear. Basically Jason is better at keeping his job than he is at doing his job.

SAS brought up the race issue again and said there is no black coach in America that would still have that job with the resume he has built. But tn I think of Marvin Lewis . . . . . .

Most successful Head Politician in the league. Has already gotten 5 1/2 years, which is 2 1/2 years longer than most get to prove they arent the answer. Of course the GM has had 20 years to prove he isnt the answer, so.......

I don't want to get into the black/white thing. But I do know that Jason did NOTHING to get the job as offensive coordinator. He had never called plays at ANY level (high school, college, pro). He has done nothing to prove he is worthy of 6m as a head coach.

But this all goes back to the GM. The GM of MOST teams in the NFL...has an eye for how to build a roster....what a coach looks like etc...We have a GM that does not know what he is looking at when he is watching. Because of this.....MANY people have his ear. He wants to be the final decision maker. But when you don't know what you are looking at...you have to listen to the opinions of others. So Jerry fancies himself as someone that can comprehend the data he is given by advisors, scouts, former players, former coaches etc...But again, that is information from WAY TOO MANY SOURCES. So you get a mixed bag of opinions. Which leads to a mixed bag of results. Jerry cannot in of himself....turn on the film...and decide if Jason is creating a X an O advantage on Sunday. Jerry cannot in of himself.....study the opposition and decide if the gameplan Jason came up with is the best gameplan to defeat the opposition. Jerry cannot in of himself....look at the film and determine if a player is being put in the best possible situation to succeed.

I doubt there are many Cowboys fans left that need to hear this...but this setup we have in the front office is a hot mess. It is a rotting fish. And I am so beyond TIRED of Jerry insisting that we will one day breakthrough with this setup. Having said all of that...I know it will never change...so I am just hoping we get lucky enough one day to win again in spite of the culture in Dallas.

Thats where we all are, even the Red Apologists who still think something is being built here by the marvelous can do no wrong HC. We hope. They hope, but have deceived themselves into thinking we've got a HOF coach in the making.

Stephen A is a racist and Skip is garbage. ESPN wonders why they lose viewers. They lost me many years ago due to SAS, and their insistence on pushing their progressive political agenda (thanks ABC\Disney.) Don't miss it one bit.

While nothing you said is inaccurate what they said about Red was spot on.

Right. Agree.

I also agree with SAS premise on coaches but he can do it without bringing up race. He could easily mention his earlier rant about race and JG and just say "doesn't matter, black or white, Asst. Coaches are getting screwed out of opportunities because of people like JG." That part of the equation is true. The guy had no experience, was a bad OC, was a HC-in-Waiting and has done nothing in 5 years except one good year. Most would be out the door.

Like I said in another thread a few days ago...my only hope is to out live the b@#$%$%. I'm 46. he's 73. That's my light @ the end of the tunnel.

I dont know how this guy still has a job bringing up the race card as much as he does. If I am mad at anything about white people, its not complaining enough to get him silenced. I like Stephen A, but the constant bringing up of the race card is way played out.

With that comment a lone about Garrett still having a job because he is white he is all but calling Jerry Jones a racist.

With ZERO wins in the playoffs.

Jason Garrett does not belong in the same sentence with Marvin Lewis. Marvin was Super Bowl winning defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. Anybody that knows anything about football...knows that the Ravens defense is WHY they won that Super Bowl.

Marvin EARNED his right to become a head coach. Marvin was given the keys to a franchise that NOBODY wants. Free agents don't want to go there. Convincing top coaching talent to go there is difficult. So on a team that plays in a tough, tough, tough division...under the aforementioned circumstances...he has acquitted himself quite well.

Jason had ZERO success as a coordinator, position coach, play caller etc...before getting the job in Dallas. And Dallas is a franchise with REAL pedigree. It is a franchise where the owner will spend money. It is a franchise that players and coaches want to play/coach for. So Jason has been given the keys to a Ferrari...and driven it like a Yugo.
