We can only dream.......

Strengths: McFadden is a great athlete with the quickness, agility, balance and speed rare for a big, strong back. Is a naturally instinctive runner who sees the field and consistently finds the correct hole. Shows a deceptive burst to get through the hole, and makes sharp cuts. Follows blockers, and cuts off them nicely. Is surprisingly nifty and agile in traffic, and shows the strength and balance to break tackles -- always gains yardage after contact. Is deceptively explosive; seems to ... Full analysis

Wow-so much for all this anger over that "slick ball" in Seattle-am I the only one who thinks that we've BENEFITED from this over the long haul?

If it weren't for that, hhhhhmmmmmmm.......we would have beaten the GROSS-Man Bears the week after, only to lose to the Saints in the NFC Title game, which would have left us with a LOW first round pick-doubt it would have been high enough to trade Cleveland with.

WOW.................................

Uhh... we would have stayed where we were in the draft no matter how we did in the playoffs (without going to the superbowl).... only making it to the super bowl moves you up/down spots once the season is over.

Either way-it seemed like Romo needed a kick in the gut, a wake up call. One minute, he seemed to be an overnight sensation in the national sports media, only for these same guys to do a Brangelina on him when he started to struggle.

As a result-he's really worked hard in this offseason, and results are showing so far.

I hope so, but...

Heath Benedict from Newberry?

I think 1 is high for him, but he is an ogre. He was at Tennessee for awhile and left. Not sure why.

I would wet in my pants if McFadden is a Dallas Cowboy come next April... Let Jones go and Tyson Thompson!

Did anyone catch this at the bottom of the Cowboys page at SN:

Terence Newman, CB — Dallas Cowboys Aug. 24, 12:13 p.m.
Newman has been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, according to the Dallas Morning News. The condition likely will bother him all season

I heard he only needs a few weeks rest.

It's not the kind of injury that heals up and goes away. Deion Sanders had it for what seemed like several years.

Didn't Deion have turf toe?

Put it's nonetheless the kind of injury where you can play through it OK.

Benedict is actually highly regarded by scouts right now... I've seen his name prominently on every draft site I've come across... he's one of those small college sleepers, I think...

But I don't think the Boys need any more tackles right now... guards and centers, yes; tackles, no...

Coach Wade Phillips wants to give LB Demarcus Ware every opportunity to rush the passer, so he's using him on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

With that logic, let's lose the rest of our games for the next 10 years. We'll guarantee the top draft spot every year.
