Kill this if its already been discussed but I got my new Sporting News this weekend. Top 100 NFL players in today's game as voted on by ex-player greats.

Here are the QB's who made the list.

1 - Peyton Manning
2 - Tom Brady
12 - Ben Roethlisberger
18 - Drew Brees
22 - Donovan McNabb
25 - Kurt Warner
50 - Eli Manning
51 - Brett Favre
54 - Philip Rivers
63 - Matt Ryan
68 - Jay Cutler
88 - Michael Vick

Now I am not one of those who blows a gasket when the press doesn't give us our perceived due but I am genuinely shocked that Romo is nowhere on this list.

To boot, they listed 5 players we should expect to see join the list next year. Can't recall all 5 but I do recall Anthony Gonzales (Indy WR) & I think Percy Harvin. But again, no Romo on that list either.

Mike Vick just makes the list lose complete credibility though and Demarcus Ware is like the 3rd or 4th defender on the list.

It's one of the worst lists ever made so who cares?

This has been said before, but I think Romo is clearly one of the league's most underrated star quarterbacks. The negative aspects of his game are blown out of proportion and made to represent his overall game as a whole. When he has a bad game, it's "here we go again."

You never hear anyone throw Brees under the bus when he has a bad game -- and it's worth checking his game-by-game stats to see just how poorly he played in their losses last year. I'm talking like sub-70 QB rating in all the losses, 100 QB ratings in the wins. But you don't hear about his streakiness, or the fact he's only won one playoff game, or the fact Carson Palmer has made just one playoff appearance.

A lot of other QBs are granted excuses. Romo is in a must-prove-it situation every week.

Just my two cents -- and, yes, Romo still has plenty to prove. I'm just saying I find some of the analysis directed his way to be disproportionate.
