Malone and Mcnabb had Loomis on their radio show today to talk about the Saints win.
I'm just paraphrasing here so bear with me.

Malone asked how putting up a record setting day offensively and getting the win felt to which Mickey responded, " We are glad with the win but we understand that Dallas played without a full deck of cards, they have been ravished with injuries on defense."

Malone then asked how Loomis felt about Ingram finally having a good game. Mickey basically said, " I'm happy for the guy but again the injuries to their defense and the loss of Sean Lee, probably one of the best linebackers in the league, were key in his success" in coach speak.

It was kind of odd for me to hear him play down their success against us and basically writing off Ingram too.

Humble or not, he has a point.

The point is he did NOT spew an inebriated 'moral victory' response. Sell hope and/or generally lie thru his teeth. They broke the mold when they made ol jerry.

Thank God.

They didn't break the mold. Stephen is much more like Jerry than I feel comfortable with. He is walking in his daddy's foot steps. It doesn't give fans much to look forward to.

Right had the shoe been on the other foot and it was Murray under similar circumstances Jerry would have crowned him the next Emmitt Smith and followed it up with a ludicris contract extension.

exactly. last week he was bragging about dez having the BEST practice ever.

a few weeks back on his radio show he said this is the best that doug free has ever played (his play has deteriorated since then).

before the season it was "the BEST coaching staff" he's assembled.

the man is constantly living in hyperbole, it's disgusting.

It comes down to the fact that when it's all said and done Jerry isn't a football guy. He's a salesman. A damn good one too, but salesman rely on statements like that to get by. Embellishment is all he knows. While other teams have football guys choosing their players and coaches we have Slick Haired Willy from down at the used car lot.

lol you think Jerry ever checks in on this message board? I believe he scans over at least a few of the cowboys' boards. I admit that I doubt most NFL GMs or head coaches read this stuff...but Jerry as we know is a different cat,
