So, about that patchwork Hawk secondary...

We never even tried to take them deep. Missing three of their top four corners yet we don't even take advantage.

Either they played like superstars or our playcalling is godawful.

Or Romo is blind.

Take your pick.

I think this is the one key question after this game - that people are going to overlook.

If we were missing TNEW, AG, and Reeves, for example, Seattle would have attempted, and probably succeeded in tearing us a new one.

I just don't get it. Hunter was just picked up off the street and we didn't test him.

Romo missed Terry Glen wide open in the first quarter for a long TD pass. Glenn had Hunter beat by 10 yards.

Tough game for him. You guys should be hoping a Vanderjagt doesn't happen to him.

Absolutely unexcusable.

I promise you if we lined up their exact same crew in our secondary we would have got scorched all night long.

That was the most disgraceful aspect of this loss. We've scorched healthy secondaries but couldn't dent this one.

Very odd that we didnt push on that backfield. Offense never really got a good roll going I think played into that.

You guys want to know what the sad part is.

Let's say we lose Newman, Henry and Glenn.

Do you think OUR Brain Trust could come up with a decent scheme like Holmgren and Company did to be very competitive despite those injuries?

I think not.

Just goes to show you what good coaching can do.

We dont have it.

You are correct sir,,,,Romo had his bad spots, but if a QB completes 17 passes, he should cover more than 189 yrds.

haha, I said this to a relative earlier today

It's just fitting that the Hawks would have such a huge weakness that fit directly into a huge Cowboys strength, that the Boys would not only not take advantage of this weakness but that, even more pathetically, they wouldn't even try to do so

I knew this was gonna happen but am still pissed off about it

Not to mention that Seattle had only 2 WRs healthy in the second half but they seemed to move the ball just fine. I don't know who calls the plays upstairs but if it is Chris Palmer you can see why he's been fired several times in the NFL. The guy may coach QBs well but he can't call plays at all. If Parcells stays, get Dan Henning in here pronto. ( I bet Carolina sours on him after this season) He and Parcells were very successful offensively with the 12-4 1998 Jets.

Even the announcers said they were playing a two deep zone with their safeties behind Glenn and TO on every play...we had to attack their front 7, and we did, running the ball well at times but not consistantly and passing in front of their SAfeties.

We played well enough on both sides of the ball to win.

Two plays cost us the game.

Glenn's stumble, bumble, fumble cost us 9 points, and Romo's botched hold cost us another 3.

Very simple.

Roy chasing down a WR and TE that both scored TD's. Roy getting burnt in coverage again.
