Austin and Stanback(hopefully) are not really hurt that bad though right? I wouldn't hit the panic button yet.

Keyshawn isn't on a roster either.

Joe Horn is too old. Hes done.

I'd rather bring Glenn back because Glenn at least knows the playbook.

Not having a guy like Horn come in and see what he can do to me would be just flat ignoring the problems..complete denial, if he wasn't brought in at this point.

What this team was assuuming with keeping these young WR on the roster was that they would stay healthy and show progress and that would be the strength of keeping them all instead of going out and trading or signing some vet.

That's all changed now.

With Austin down and now Stanbach..they HAVE to do something or several things and act quickly over the next week IMO.

Those injuries WILL cripple this offense badly going forward and they always take longer to heal than what is projected.

Dallas is now forced to act or the result will be that it will change their prep for games and maybe even their play calling to be more conservative in not risking their WRs on crossing routes, etc. for fear of more injury.

Also, with Austin and now Stanback injured, there will be no more WRs playing kick returns for the rest of the year..trust me.

No, Dallas won't bring in a vet like Horn or Glenn or any other vet until the season begins. If they bring Horn in he will be a vested player and owed the full salary for the year just like Glenn last year. The only way I see Dallas bringing in anybody before training camp ends is if it is a serious year ending injury to T.O. or Crayton. If that happens look for Jerry to make an outrageous offer to Arizona or Detroit.

Let's see what happens in the last game with Jefferson, Hurd, and Amendola. Remember there are thirty one other teams that have to make roster cuts we may even raid some ones practice squad this year.

He hasn't played a full season since 2004, I'd rather stay away from nursing homes and infirmaries.

First, adding a vested veteran like Joe Horn before week one would guarantee his base salary for the entire season.

That isn't a good idea.

And I consider Isaiah Stanback to be a developmental project, not garbage. Look at Miles Austin now and kindly remember how many fans wanted to cut him last season.

Izzy is also an outstanding physical specimen and the coaches raved about his practice work last December and his run after the catch skills this summer. Stanback says he never had injury trouble prior to foot injury that ended his senior season.

Tossing aside a young receiver with upside for a veteran band aid that might have something left in the tank is how bad teams stay bad.

If it came down to it I'd could see the reasoning because we're so stacked and could win it this year. But Horn could be in shape and if that were the case he'd be a nice guy to have, I think. I might be apt to give him a look because he has tremendous upside if he's in shape. It weren't too long ago that he was playing some good ball. Take the pressure of him as the #1 guy and I think he could actually be a nice slot guy.

If this happens, say good bye to Amendola though.

T.O.'s conditioning and genetics are not like your typical 30 something receiver. I doubt Joe Horn is as athletic as T.O. or as devastating a player.

Horn having tremendous upside? At 36 years old?

Plus Horn does not know the playbook and he has not had any opportunity to develop a report with Romo.

Remember the Peerless Price signing?
