Right now I would say Collins because he hasn't turned the ball over. Another offseason studying the offense will hopefully help things come easier for Campbell.

But, I thought he already was head and shoulders ahead of Romo?

Man, you crazies can change faster than the weather!

I never said that. Unless you think Skins fans all speak with one voice. I suppose when we talk about our feelings for the Boys we usually do.

Who is the starter? Who is the backup?

You think if the Cowboys roll up to DC and play Brad, that we would be worried about who is better right now, Romo or Brad shold the Cowoys win?
NO!

Glad the Cowboys don't have that problem!

Gotta stay with the hot hand. The only thing Campbell has on Collins is arm strength. Plus, Joe always had a soft spot for veteran QBs.

The fumbling is because he often keeps the ball too far from his body (and really has nothing to do with moving well in the pocket).
I think his fumbling issue has something to do with his agility. Not all of his fumbling has to do with keeping the ball too far from his body, some has to do with his inability feel the heat from the defenders and getting hit.

The sacks are because our line has really struggled at times this year. We've been missing our RT and RG, although I think Jansen is just about done, and I've been impressed with the way our rookie Heyer has stepped in for him at RT. Our second string RT Wade played most of the year, and I was disappointed at the results. Also, as I mentioned, Campbell takes longer to make decisions.
Again, his inability to make certain moves to avoid the defenders is the cause of his sacks.

IMO, he moves around pocket is just alright, but far from well as you've stated, the results from his high sack numbers and fumbles bears that out.

...Jason Campbell announces to the media that he is ready to play. What do the Skins do?

Start Collins or start Campbell?

If they start Collins, what does it say about their QB of the future, and the guy they gave the reins to for the majority of the season?

If they stat Campbell, and miss the playoffs, how bad would Commanders nation come down on them?

Up to me I would start Collins and if Dallas does pull their 1st stringers I've put Campbell in. Let him knock the rust off against the 2nd or 3rd stringers and have him ready for the Seahawks.

Glad it isn't us.

And if Campbell is picked to play, should Dallas let T.O.play, given that he is a fast healer?

If the Commanders do make the playoffs, and get to Dallas, is anyone afraid of the Commanders?

First of all, let the Commanders win the game. Let Dallas learn about their backups in a pressure situation. When the Resdkinsget to Dallas in January, they will be crushed. Then what?

What in the world does one have to do with the other?

Go with the hot hand or go with the mantra of the starter does not lose his job to injury.

Hard to say what they would do. Seems Collins is more of QB that has the system down and therefore does not need to take time to diagnose plays on the field nor worry about being too cautious.

Hate to be in that coaches staffs shoes as it could be a bad thing no matter who they pick to start.

I would imagine what will happen is that they will keep Collins as starter for THIS game and say that they are being cautious (health wise) with Campbell.

Now if they do win and Jason is fully healed...that is when the true decision happens in the first playoff game. Like I said they could get away with the health/cautious thing for right now. Don't know if they could still use that excuse for a playoff game if they win this sunday.

Reading ES today, half of them think Campbell sucks now anyway and Collins is the savior.

Such is life in Bizarroland.

So how do you explain his perpencity for fumbling and getting sacked 21 time in 12.5 games?

A really bad pass-blocking offensive line... which is why they had Jason throwing so many dumpoff passes in the first place, they didn't DARE let him sit back in the pocket long enough to let those receivers come open downfield...

Well, Collins can't get the ball deep anyway, so he fits their offensive line a bit better, at least IMO...

Well, they're half right... for ES, that's a pretty fair batting average... :D
