So should be discouraged or encouraged?

Should we be more discouraged by the fact that we blew a 17-0 lead, even if we won?

Or are we only encouraged when it goes the other way?

Given the way the season started, any win is a good thing.

The fact that we found a way to hold off the Colts is a good thing.

Blowing the lead tells us we still have plenty to work on, and obviously we can't count on having 4 INTs to win games, but overall it was a positive game.

I fully expected the Colts to come right back after us. So it did not come as a shock that a team with the back ground of the Colts would fight us all the way. So yes I found in encouraging that the Cowboys despite all the bad that has happened had the fortitude to hang tough and win this game As was mentioned in one of the post game shows it would have been easy for the Cowboys to fold their tents after the block punt for the TD but instead Dallas put together a long drive using the run and put the go ahead TD. This team deservers the credit for winning a hard fought game

beat the colts on the road with your back up QB.... i dont care how you win, if you do its GREAT.

Great point. Yes the Colts have some injuried but for goodness sake so has the Cowboys and yet with a backup QB we went on the road and won.

This.

Ernie is right when he says we can't count on 4 INTs, to be sure. On the other hand, we're not going to face Manning and his pinpoint passes every week either. I mean, yeah, he made mistakes but he also threw some passes that were dead perfect as well.

This is a tale of two season for me. The first 8 games and the last 8 games. In the new season, we are 3-1 with a lose that probably should have been a win against the Champions. We were 1-7 in the first 8 games. In the last 4 games, we have trippled our win total from the first 8 games. Hell yes we should be positive.

True and I take even more pleasure when young guys are contributing to the win such as Lee. A game like that has to be a big boost to his confidence.

We were playing the GREAT Peyton Manning. What's a 17-0 lead against the GREAT Peyton Manning?

We should be very encouraged because of who we beat and where we beat them.

Yeah, the Colts had many players injuried, but we had Romo injuried.

I'm not discouraged by the Colts game, they won. I wasn't encouraged by the Saints game, they lost.

I'd say a little of both. It took a 17 point lead, 4 forced turnovers, 0 turnovers for our part, season best rushing attack and overtime to beat them but at least we did it.

As I said last week, JG has done a great job turning this thing around, but it's going to take a full TC and pre-season to fix the OL and defensive scheme. I was laughing my arse off at Bigg yesterday, he was trying so hard but he's too darn over weight to get it done. I bet he and Gurrode come back strong next year....columbo...eeeeh.

I am more than encourged by every game under JG so far.

Not much of a debate here...they won on the road against a quality opponent...considering where they were five weeks ago I am amazed frankly.

17-0, .. in the first quarter, .. at the Colts, ... I knew they would come back and make it close.
All of the top tiered teams would make a comeback, .. at home especially.

Only play that bothered me was the blocked punt, ... so much for reality shows. :D

That can't happen.

When you come back against a good team it only gives you confidence that you can come back again--which is exactly what happened.

That's the good that came from the Saints game.

If you would have told me before the game we forced 4 to's, had zero to's, had over 200 yds rushing and Kitna played very well again. I would have been disapointed that it took OT and a little luck to win, Colts or no.

Still in all we're a Roy Williams hold onto the damn ball away from beating both Superbowl teams from last year. :banghead:
