It sure looked like it as I was passing by on my way to church this morning. Looks like one section has a nice shiney coat of white paint. Looks like they've put up some kind of orange guardrail/safety type device along the side of the roof. I sure hope they are re-painting.

I was there 5 years ago and was floored at how run down the place looked from the outside...

It would be nice to see the stadium get a face lift...uh, bad choice of words considering who the owner is.

Yeah they are painting the roof. And yes the inside of the stadium roof needs help!!!! The insulation is always just randomly falling all over the place and the seats in the upper level are always covered in the remains, the yellow stuff all over the seats. I spend like 5 minutes each week cleaning my seats!!!

Really though I love the place, run down or not, I just love texas stadium.

Yep.. its quite a site seeing the little specks that are men on the roof of the stadium spraying paint. It REALLY makes a difference... it looks A LOT better.

yea i always thought that place could use some renovation. there are all these ugly blue stars everywhere in that place that they should get rid of. :

When I went, I was shocked at how bad the roof looked on the inside as well. Paint it....do something to make it look better. Even if it is for a couple of years. I'm sure that anybody who has gone even one time remarked at how bad the roof is on the inside. It just stands out.

Yeah and they need to reinforce the rafters I don't know if they can hold any more banners.

Yeah me too first trip there about 3 years ago.

I mean to paint the roof atleast one color, just one coat, somthing.... I am suprised that he let the stadium look like that. I remember driving up to stadium and thinking... is that it?

I went to the season opener in 98 and was surprised at that also. Once you get in to the stadium it looks nice.
