If T.O goes down this team is cooked, and no Terry Glenn and is five hundread year-old knees are not going to help.

I want to see how Stanbeck does this year. The Cowboys really like his potential and hes now fully healed over his foot injury.

If T.O. goes down during the crucial stretch run like last year and the result will be the same. We don't have another WR that scares anybody. Not a doubt in my mind that if T.O. was 100% we beat the Giants.

Crayton is a fine #3 and a decent #2. Glenn is done imo. Stanback is a longshot project and Hurd/Austin would have shown more by now if they were going to do anything.

Bingo!

If TO goes down we can expect to go no better than .500 for the games he is not playing in.... and thats being optimistic.

We need to be able to pound the rock.... that will also help so that we dont have to depend on the air attack. Air or nothing at all is not good... especially playoff time.

I think Matt could accel with TO on the other side

Jones seems to be regressing, something you don't want to see after three years in the league with the kind of freaky size and speed he has. He should be killing NFL corners, but he can't beat out Reggie Williams or Dennis Northcutt, neither of whom are quality starters. The rap on Jones coming out of college was that he wasn't a hard worker, and his lack of development seems to indicate that might be true. The Cowboys already have a big, fast converted QB in Stanback, so going after a guy who's had every opportunity to develop, but hasn't, just doesn't seem like the right move, despite Jones' physical attributes.

Replay your TEVO. I'm repeating what Jerry Jones said himself. I'd imagine that he would be in a position to know.

Perhaps you can tell everybody where you read that Glenn is going to be just fine. I honestly didn't hear that.

Cowboys offensive coaches (including Jerry) were raving out Glenn's practice performance before the playoff game last year. I see no reason to just assume he's regressed from that point. Worst-case scenario he may be more prone to reinjury, but I've seen no evidence that that's more likely, either.

At some point you need to play young guys who show promise, and our young WRs show promise. Add to it that it often takes WRs 3 years to develop in this league, and there's no reason to panic. Even if Crayton is not quite up to snuff as a #2, I've seen enough from Hurd to believe he's a capable #3 himself. With an all pro #1 in TO and another in Witten, we're in good shape in the passing game.

Our only issue is the age of our starters. There's no reason to worry about that, though, b/c there are starting-quality WRs available in FA every offseason if you have to spring for them. We're in great shape in terms of depth everywhere else on the team right now, with picks to burn next year on drafting a legitimate future #1.

Thats not even getting into development for Stanback. Listening between the lines with Jerry, they're expecting one of our young players to develop this offseason. This is all tempests and teacups.

well if there is a player like a Marcus Colston in this draft some of u guys would never know... people r asking what WR in what round should Jerry have taken a WR... Its called a Warroom not Survivor Valley Ranch!

the Boys did not draft a WR, does that mean every WR in this draft is a bust and will never amount to anything more than what we have on the roster? Thats what all the BP/Giants fans said when we passed on Marcus Colston in the 7th round! Now you are goig to run that "who/what/where/when trade" BS again!!!

the object of drafting is to bring players in, coach em up and see how they respond... Hurd, Miles and crayton have hit a wall/the light has not come on... Players like that do not help u win Super Bowls!!!

How many teams drafted WRs this year?

What part of 'coachin' em up' includes jettisoning them two years into a 2-3 year process? You get basically 6 WR spots on the team. 3 of them have to be capable of starting. At least two have to play ST while they develop. That give you basically one pure developmental player and the practice squad before you start cutting into your roster elsewhere.

If we're thrilled with Stanback in the developmental role, we needed a WR in the 2nd round or lower good enough to justify cutting Hurd or Austin and also passing on an alternative player in the draft. Is it really so hard to believe that was a tall order this year?

I think Crayton proved to be solid #2 last year.

Crayton was a slot receiver and the third option in the passing game. He is a number three in my book.

I agree, if we lose TO at any point in the season we are in trouble. We couldn't get anything going at all last year with him not on the field, we should have a better run game this year but still not enough to make much noise without TO.

Although, we should have a much better defence this year so the offense shouldn't have to be AS good as last year.
