Roast beef slow cooked all day in a crock pot with potatoes, onions, carrots, and stewed tomatoes. Instead of cooking it in water we cook it in spicy V-8 juice. It tenderizes and flavors the roast perfectly. It is topped off by my wife's homemade bread.

Funny, just talking to my buddies coming over for the game about this a few minutes ago. Gonna be a long day with 1 guy a Buffalo fan (1pm game time) coming over to watch his team on DirectTV.

My other friend a Giants fan coming over at 4, gonna toss the ball around the back yard for a bit and catch some of the 4pm games.

Wings, King Crab and scallops wrapped in bacon for apps. Then steaks on the grill with some veggies from the garden for a salad.

Staples will include beer and chips.

Ps Hos, got my riding fix early this morning, doing 85 miles in the hill country.

Oh man, that sounds heavenly. Did I tell you? I decided to get another Fat Boy. Been wanting an Electra Glide, and considered a Road King. In the end I like the Fat Boy best of all. I'm hopeful that it will be my Christmas. If all goes well...it will be.

Everyones meals sound fantastic. I love me some Johnsonville Brats.

I'm cooking some Ribeyes over mesquite tonight. Probably a salad to go with it.

Spicy V-8 -- now there's an idea I've got to try

I don't care what anyone says about summer, best time of year starts now. Steak, sauteed mushrooms, garlic shrimp, asparagus. Amstel.

I've never wanted a Sunday to move as fast as I want this one, to get to dinner and tonights game.

Baby back ribs, cooked slow for about five hours. Home made sweet BBQ sauce. Salt potatoes, sweet peas and a salad. Pepperoni, pepper cheese and crackers at half time. Of course some Captain and cokes.:D

I'll be making tortillas and frying tortilla chips from said tortillas. Will be grilling chicken too. Remaining tortillas go to quesadillas, and the chips are for the queso that's going in the crock pot. I also think I can throw some fresh pico de gallo together, not sure, just thought of it now.

I will be eating grilled beef fajitas.

When I lived in San Angelo, there was a tortilla shop right down the road. I used to be able to get fresh tortillas for $1.00 a dozen. Oh my goodness they were great. They often took the right off the cooktop and put them in a bag.

Now I live in Lubbock where all I know of is Rosa's tortillas. They are good but it is a bit of a drive for me.
