You nailed it.burmafrd said:Actually we want Minn and Atlanta and the Skins to lose. TB will probably get the first WC slot anyway. The other 3 are our main competitors for the other WC slot.
For right now, we cannot worry about any team ahead of us.Qwickdraw said:So I guess we want ATL to lose because the odds of TB losing at home to ATL and the Saints are unlikely. (we'd need them to lose out)
okay.
I thought if the Bucs lose we hold the TB against them with strength of sched? If thats the case we'd want Atl to win which would put us all in a tie and we have the TB against all of them with Strength of sched. we should also be pulling for NYG and just for good measure Baltimore.Qwickdraw said:Actually, I believe I figured it out.
We want ATL to win because we hold the tiebreaker over ATL but NOT over TB.
Therefor, we could tie with ATL and still get in but we need to be a game up on TB so they need to lose 1 more than us.
This is all assuming of course that we win out and the Skins lose at least one.
We also want CHI to win against GB this week and win their division.
And we want the Vikings to lose.
Yes it is.Qwickdraw said:Is it possible for Washingotn, Dallas and NY to all make the playoffs?

Richmond Cowboy said:We own the tie breaker vs TB so we absolutely want them to lose to Atl because as we stand now if we win out and either Atl or Was loses we will take their wildcard spot. If Atl loses, it only really helps us if we lose again because we would still own the tie breaker against them but then too much else would need to happen for us to get in so to summarize:
Assuming we win out
- If TB loses one, we own the tie breaker and would assume the 6th spot
while Was would move up to the 5th seed (assuming they win)
- If Was loses one, we take the 6th seed (assuming TB wins)
So, we need to win and either TB or Was lose one game.

1. If Tampa loses one they will be tied with us and Washington, assuming we both win. Washington would eliminate us from that tiebreaker (for the #5 spot) and TB holds the head to head tiebreaker over Washington (the only bad thing that comes from a Washington loss) Then Washington would eliminate us from the tiebreaker for the #6 spot.
2. If we win vs. Carolina, and Washington loses to NY, and TB loses to Atl. that would put us in a teibreaker with TB only, we didn't play them so there's no head to head game, we'd both be 7-3 in the division, and common games records would be 3-2, right now our SOV rating is .001 better, but that should improve with a win vs. Carolina and we'd have the tiebreaker for now....
