I have over 15,000 different ones. My favorite card is my Don Meredith rookie.

One of the first cards I got when I was a kid. It's a 1961 fleer. Here is a pic.

Post a pic of your coolest Cowboys card. I'll do a random drawing from everyone who does and send the winner a Felix Jones rookie as well as a Mike Jenkins rookie.

Should be fun to see all the cards.

How do you post the picture of the card? I have some older ones.

Actually almost had to sell this about 2 months ago because things got real bad at home but backed out when the minimum bid on ebay was never met. Highest it got was $678. Guy told me if I had Beckett grade it I could get about $400 more off of it but I have no idea how to do that. I don't plan on selling it but would love to have it graded if anyone knows how I go about doing that. Card dealers down here in SC says it would grade out NM so it would be worth it I can imagine.

Me neither. I stopped right after the Emmitt's rookie cards, but I have, pretty much, the same cards you have.

From my hero Randy White's, to Roger Staubach, to TD, Mike Irvin, Troy's rookies..

Used to play with them ( before I knew they were collectors items ) and had them as my " bank ".

Very cool.

Click this link and it will take you to their grading service.

Be careful though regarding grading. Beckett is very good as well as PSA. But there are some out there that are not as respected and not as safe.

Any Ricky Santos? I hear it's a hot card right now...nearly unattainable, you might say.

Remember when the cards weren't allowed to feature the helmet logos? They were all airbrushed out.

I have nearly all of the cowboys cards from 1960 until about 1995...then stopped hoarding. I am partial to the older cards since there are so many different variants now. I still enjoy getting them out and looking through them ion occasion. Outsid eof Cowboys, I have probably 100,000+ basebal and football cards. Alot of the baseball is from 1930s to about 1985....football is mostly 1955 til about 1988

Thanks for the link. Which grading service would you suggest? I have been collecting cards for a very long time but never jumped on board when the grading phenomenon broke in so I know very little about it. Card collecting has gone from value of the cards to more of a memory and piece of history I can pass down to my kids.

Beckett actually has two services. The regular service (BGS) and Beckett Vintage Greading service (BVGS) for older cards. They take into account the aging aspects of the card. The BVGS may carry a lower value because of this but still makes for a nice grading service.

If it were me and I knew it would grade out to NM, I would go with the BGS service. They are more reliable than most and you are assured to get your same card back, totally slabbed and graded rather than a replacement.

Is there any way we can make this a sticky? I would love to show some of my cards but don't have the time tonight.

1973 Topps. Great set. You can pick up a nice copy of this card, Roger's second, for around 25.00. Pretty good for a HOF QB's second year card.
