We will just wait and see what happens with people getting cut. I really don't see a trade coming up.

Why not just IR Stanback and keep Jefferson and Amendola as 5th and 6th receivers? Austin and Hurd will both be back in a few weeks. Hurd was walking without a limp, so I can't imagine it being too severe.

Crayton, Hurd, and Austin were all low picks or undrafted and nobody seemed to mind them as number 3-6 options in their rookie seasons.

The guess on Hurd is that it may be a high ankle sprain. Let's hope not . . . . because if that's the case, he could be out for at least a month.

I do think Jefferson has the advantage over Amendola right now. But I still think that IF Hurd has a high ankle sprain, we'll be looking to add a veteran WR one way or another, and we'll end up putting Stanback on IR.

Any time I've seen a high ankle sprain, even minor ones, the guy couldn't walk off the field, much less without even a sign of a limp. Obviously not a medical opinion, but I'd be surprised if he's out the usual 4-6 weeks.

Well, I hope you're right.

I guess we should know tomorrow.

Unless we trade for a WR that requires attention on their own rep (Boldin, Williams, Ocho Cinco), nobody can learn the playbook and develop chemistry with Romo with just over 1 week till openner.

Since we are not going to give away the farm and the big names will not be released outright, dont look for any trades.

Since the x-ray was inconclusive, how do they know it's a high ankle sprain?

Wouldn't Sam Hurd have been in poor spirits instead of thinking he'll be back in no time and play in the opener?

Is the diagnosis just from Hurd telling the trainers where the pain is located?
