SOCDD with this team

I don't want to spend a 1st round pick on a center again, but I think we need to upgrade Biadasz.
I was looking at the 2022 FA possibilities and Ted Karras (Pats) would be a possible upgrade if he tests the market.
Has started twice as many games as Biadasz with tons of playoff experience under his belt and has had no major injuries I could find.
He turns 29 in March...still a baby.

We can't run the ball anymore. It's not just Zeke either as we seen Pollard did not run as well either.
Now part of that is the fact that Moore all but abandoned the run game. But they were not doing much when they did have their shots. Although Dak ran 5 for 20 yards, those were not called plays.
Zeke and Pollard had a combined 12 carries for 25 yards with Zeke apc at 1.8 and Pollard at 3.
So they did not run the ball enough and when they did they did nothing in the run game.

Dropping the ball. Seemed like we had some players dropping the ball again. RB, TE and WR.

Dak...if you hate Dak then you loved it, if you Love Dak you hated it. But not matter what side you fall on or if you are in the middle....Dak stunk up the joint before the fourth quarter.
Sure there were some dropped balls, there were some tipped passes. But once again Dak was off on too many throws.

I don't know what is going on with this Oline and the run game. I have to think that a good deal of the problems have to deal with the center. Bia is just not in the same league as Fredbeard was. One also has to be concerned with the LG spot. I don't know if both needs fixed or just one. But one thing is clear...they are not doing a good job of running the ball.

Kellen Moore. At times he makes it look fresh. Other times it is stale as week old bread.
This team has been struggling on Offense for some time now. He needs to be able to adjust the plays when it is not working. It is clear that teams are not blitzing and giving Dak easy throws down field. So find a new plan.

This is a game that points out that as good as the defense is, you can't count on them to win you the game every week. Zero Turnovers in this game after being used to multiple ones per game the last few games. Now they were getting pressure on Kyler but he is hard to catch. I will say that Micah continues to impress me as he caught up to him a time or two and that is no easy feat.

Special teams were anything but special this week. No blocked kicks/punts. No great returns and for the love of all things Cowboys..>GET RID OF GREG. I know he is bone's boy but good grief how much more of this guy do we need to see. I imagine it will be the rest of the season but they need to bring someone in even if it is next season. Quit wasting money on Greg the Maybe. I am sure I am not alone in saying that every time he goes to kick a FG or XP I am expecting the miss. I am to the point where if they are in FG range I would rather them just go for it on 4th down. For his production you can get a kicker for half the price. Actually you can still probably get a kicker with much better production for a cheaper price.

Penalties, Penalties and Penalties.
You can bash the refs all you want, and they deserve a good deal, but this team still commits too many penalties and it hurts them multiple times throughout games. How many times has this team got in the redzone and you just know there is going to be a penalty that pushes them back and causes them to settle for a FG. I mean you just feel it coming and of course that leads back to expecting Greg to miss the FG. It is so frustrating. The buck stops with the HC and Coaches for the penalties. I liked that they sat CW after getting so many penalties. It sent a message. But he is not the only one getting penalties.

This reminds me of an old Army Acronym SOSDD but for a family friendly board I am going to change it to SOCDD...Same old Crap Different Day.

Ok...enough of my boo hooing and poo pooing.

Too Much, Too Little, Too Late! Its Over!

We need 3 more 1st round All-Pro Offensive linemen.
Nope.

Cowboys need a much better Oline Coach who knows how to make any and all Olinemen much better.

The Oline doesn't fire out and stay low. Instead, they are slow to move, stand straight up and get beat to the gap they know they are responsible for or get pushed straight back into our QB or RBs.

These Olinemen are too fat, too slow, too unathletic and definitely are not being taught the correct technique, how to fire out while staying low, thus disabling them to better block, drive or create running holes/lanes to run through. They get beat to the gap they are supposed to block! Think about that for a second...you are the Olineman...you know when you are going to hike the football...yet you get beat to the gap you are supposed to block???

This all falls on the Oline Coach.

Joe Philbin doesn't have it. He's not teaching them correctly, getting them in better shape and not getting them to understand how the law of leverages applies to every Olineman.

This is why I always say: This Offense will go as far as this Oline goes. You can have Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady at QB, and you can have the best RBs or best TE and WRs......but if your Oline can't get any push, create holes or gets pushed back, your Offense ain't going to do crap!

So...there you have it. Get a better Oline Coach who knows how to improve every Olineman, and you will truly see how good this Offense can be.

You don't need to be wasting purely 1st round picks on the Oline. You can use mid-round-to-late picks on the Oline (even some undrafted picks) IF you have the correct Oline Coach who knows what he is doing to improve all Olinemen.

Appreciate the long reply but I was being sarcastic.

We have execution issues, but KM calling plays that involve Zeke running over and over into the back of his offensive linemen is not really any sort of legitimate play calling.

Great post! I made a “ I miss Frederick” thread a couple of weeks back. He was the anchor.

I also don’t get on O in general. 1) Dak and the team get in sync better in a hurry up or rolling Dak out 2) I said this in another thread today but look what SF used to do to get Rice open…slants, quick throws past LBs, use the seams. Bubble screens should be scrapped. The minute we hit the seams and slants in the 4th we started going. CeeDee is perfect for it and Wilson exploited both too, especially the slant.

I wish we knew for sure what's going on with the lack of run plays. Is Moore not calling them? Is Dak checking out of them? I want to know for sure what is going on there.
Zeke is about out of gas and Pollard is playing with a torn Planter Fasciitis, so maybe, just maybe, they are saving whatever they have left for playoffs.

Would make sense
Just don't understand why we don't run wide?
It's all between the tackles
