Protection inside the 20 is easy. Put big-butt defensive lineman and linebackers in at Running back and Full back. Drew will have all day back there. It's what New England does when they put guys like Vrabel and Seymour in on goal line situations.

I thought Billichik learned from Parcells..not the other way around :D

We have played with Spears some at FB in short yardage. Ratliff has played TE in training camp and Canty will too over time.

I think we need to stop these silly 2 TE sets and 1 WR. Brings everyone into the box and limits Drew's ability to create plays. We've already proven we have a below average run game.

Red Zone I'd spread the field 3 and 4 wide with Witten and cause mismatches. With field more open you can hit a draw run as well.

Ridiculous.

If you do that you have what occurred in Oakland. Glenn would be stymied, Johnson would run a fade, and Price would be useless.

If we still had Crayton, I might see your point.

If we really sit down and think about it, we really miss Jeff Robinson. All he ever did was SCORE TOUCHDOWNS!

I agree Nors. If worse comes to worse with it spread out, Drew has that chance to run it in. It does nothing to have Spears in at FB cause the corners are making the stops off the edge. Spread it out, with Spears at FB, then we're talking. We don't keep the defense honest. As of late they could stop us without a huddle and 10 men on the field.

Are we talking Henson or Bledsoe here?

Look, our redzone offense sucks because our blocking sucks. Unfortunately, I doubt this will change too much as the season progresses. There is hope though, because Petitti and Tucker have nowhere to go but up.

Until we figure out how to run the ball, TDs will not be happening too often.

I'll take the Drew, that has already done it, for $500 Bob.

Our red zone sucks when we get bogged down running and playing for missed field goals....
