Langston Walker-T- Bills Sep. 8 - 4:02 pm et

The Bills have reportedly released LT Langston Walker.

The move had been in the works since training camp, when developmental project Demetrius Bell began pushing him. The Bills tried to trade Walker for draft picks but unsurprisingly found no takers. Expect the raw, but athletic Bell to move into the starting lineup, adding further growing pains to the Bills revamped offensive line.

Kynan Forney-G- Jaguars Sep. 8 - 3:41 pm et

Jaguars signed G Kynan Forney, formerly of the Chargers.

Forney was a surprise cut by San Diego, with the Chargers opting to go with rookie Louis Vasquez instead. The veteran will provide depth at guard, which was a major issue with the Jags last season.

David Tyree-WR- Giants Sep. 8 - 2:37 pm et

The Ravens worked out free agent WR David Tyree on Tuesday.

A signing isn't necessarily imminent. The Chiefs and Rams are also involved, but the vested veteran will likely have to wait until after Week 1 to sign.

Tony Curtis-TE- Eagles Sep. 8 - 2:35 pm et

Eagles released TE Tony Curtis.

Curtis is now fully recovered from an August ankle sprain, but he lost his roster spot to Alex Smith.

Ryan Fowler-LB- Jets Sep. 8 - 1:55 pm et
well we cant sign fowler now as a backup inside linebacker,
Jets signed LB Ryan Fowler.

The former Titan lost his starting job to Stephen Tulloch last season. He'll play special teams and backup at inside linebacker with the Jets.

Jerry and Wade have too much pride to go into the season with a bunch of street guys... and I dont blame them, whats the point of training camp if you bring in a bunch of guys that other teams cut!

Yeh we should jump on someone that couldnt even stay in Buffalo who is in dire need for O lineman... First they trade their best player in Peters then they release another.. I bet they are starting 5 diff linemen from last year... Have fun TO lol

well sometimes teams that are in disarray like the bills are right now and under pressure to not lose games but win. Heck, everyone knows their head coach is on the hot seat this year. Then, sometimes those teams release players without realizing what they have, then the team that picks up that player finds a gem.

Its kinda like when the cardinals released jay novachek, and you know how he developed in dallas. Remember, also the bills released their offensive coordinator, and like you said, all new offensive linemen now, and im sure that preston could give the cowboys some insight on langston OT

so why not check it out;

Jay wasn't released. It was Plan B free agency. Each team could only protect so many players and the Cards chose not to protect him because Rob Awalt was the starter.

Langston was released for salary cap reason. If he had a cheap contract, he would still be a Bill.

Sad to hear about Tony Curtis. I thought he had some potential to be a pretty good #2 option on some other teams. I'm sure he'll find work somewhere.

There are different styles of offensive lineman, just like different offensive line schemes. There is zone blocking, and there is man blocking. Just because someone cannot produce in one, doesn't necessarily mean that they cannot produce in the other.

good memory, and ironically we got awalt later who was briefly Novaceks backup. Probably Novacek and James Washington were are best plan B free agents.
