Some early returns on the 2025 Draft

Yeah I don't see it. I see them putting Carson at the slot since Bland doesn't want to play there. Plus he's coming off a ACL injury...he'll be a starter at some point but not this season IMO.
Carson doesn't play the slot. Other than Steward, Bland is the only player that plays the slot on our roster. Bland didn't want to play there because it would effect his contract value. He got paid so thats pretty much moot

Carson plays in the inside and outside. Bland said he didn’t want to play on the inside. Regardless where he plays if healthy o expect Carson to start.

I hope Booker turns out to be a pro bowler. They passed up several more impactful players to take him.

Ebukah looks like a star.

Carson doesn't play inside. He played 5 snaps in the slot as a rookie. He is not a slot CB. There are at least 3 better outside CB's on the roster, and Steward is a slot CB and they would play him there over Carson. I see no reason why they play Carson outside over Revel when Revel is ready to be actived. Its been over a year since his injury and Revel. Revel was probably a better CB the day after he tore his ACL than Carson is

It's still too early to know how this draft class is going to go.

Booker is playing to his scouting report - big, strong and pro-ready, but you can get him with twists. He's not going to suck - we can already see that. But he'll have to be really good to justify his draft status, and it remains to be seen if his feet keep him from becoming a Pro Bowl stud muffin.

EZ has been a zero as a pass rusher, but in run defense, he's showing way more sand in the pants than you'd expect for a 250 lb DE. He's got some DLaw in him that way. Hopefully the pass rushing will come along.

Revel is a complete unknown.

Blue is a complete unknown, but it's worrying that he can't beat out Miles Sanders.

James doesn't really look ready, but he's a 5th round LB, that was never the expectation.

This isn’t my opinion it’s just what I’ve observed. They like Carson and considered him a steal last year. Revel is coming off a ACL injury. I don’t know who’s better than who. My opinion is based on what I’ve read from this team and I see no scenario where right now Revel is healthy enough to start.

I don’t know who starts at nickel. I just believe by seasons end our 3 corners starter will be Bland, Diggs and Carson.

People keep talking about Miles Sanders he currently is running at 5 yards a clip. I get that contains a big run but still.

Again Carson is not a slot corner. If its those two and Bland really is insistent on playing outside, Steward will be the slot CB.

I just disagree. You keep telling me what he is or isn’t. I’m not arguing about that because I don’t entirely know what this team thinks in that regard. I just believe our there starting corners by years in will be Carson, Bland and Diggs. Who starts at nickel I don’t know. It won’t be Diggs. But I do think it will be Bland or Carson. If it’s not cool. I don’t have a dog in the fight. I want our best three corners to start if that’s Steward so be it. If it’s Butler so be it.

You've been saying it wont be Bland in the slot because he doesn't want to play there. Now you're saying you think it will be him or Carson? Im confused

My opinion is Id rather play Elam than Carson. Carson was worse last year than Elam ever was. Ya he was a rookie, but I didn't see an NFL CB in him

I said Bland didn’t want to play there. You said Bland only didn’t want to play there because of salary? If that’s true then yes it would more than likely be Carson. I haven’t heard that so I don’t entirely know. I believe Bland will play wherever this team asks him. If not I believe they will play Carson at nickel. This is not fact. Once again this is all opinion based on what I’ve seen or read to this point.

As far as Elam goes….ive seen nothing to suggest he continues to start as we get healthier. He doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing.

But what have you seen from Carson that says he should be on the field. Dude was horrible. Didn't look an NFL caliber player. I dont know why you think Revel wont be playing. Its been over a year since his injury. Players dont need a year and half after an ACL to see the field. I guess Im just not understanding your opinions here

Well my opinion that you replied to was saying how good the draft was last year and I guess Carson triggered a response?

I’ve said my stance. My opinion is derived from everything I’ve read and seen.

This was just a few months ago.

Now we get to see who is on the mark and who is off. Thats the fun of message board banter

I don't want to be "that" guy, but you really need ~3-4 years to see how your draft turned out. Rember this draft. Many were excited about this draft after the first year. Some people said Cox was going to be a great cover LB and Nashon Wright could be the next Richard Sherman and Simi was going to be a beast due to his size and speed. Only Osa is on the team after 4 years.

2021 draft

And from this draft people complained Tyler Smith will be a big bust and some said Sam Williams could be another Parsons. Well, how that turn out?

2022 draft

A fan wrote this nonsense: "Imagine if they drafted Golden or Egbuka. They wouldn't have had to use a 3rd round pick to get Pickens." Intelligent Response: The Boys had a deal for Pickens, an impact WR, for a 3rd in the draft a year later, 2026. There was no need to draft Golden or Ebuka with a first rounder in 2025 when they had a star receiver "in the bag" for a 2026 3rd rounder. Booker has the talent to be a 10-12 year dominating starter, although he could have been drafted lower in the 1st round, the Boys did not have a trade offer sweet enough to move down.

Yeah that’s silly….Booker and Pickens sounds much better than the opposite.
