Some early returns on the 2025 Draft

For me, Booker has to turn into an absolute beat who makes the pro-bowl every year or he was not worth the pick at #12. The Cowboys backup OL is showing why using the #12 pick on OG was not necessary. Of course we had no idea in April who would be hurt and who would be playing, but what if they moved Thomas inside to RG? Plus, they still had Hoffman, Bass, Asim Richards, plus Saadiq Charles, and Adeniji? Maybe Booker is or will be better than all those guys, but how much better?

With needs at RB, LB, DT, and WR, the Cowboys could have made a greater impact elsewhere. In the first round they could have taken Ebguka or Golden at WR. Or Hampton at RB. Derrick Harmon has impressed in Pittsburgh in his rookie year at DT. The Cowboys could have gotten more improvement out of some of those other guys. Imagine if they drafted Golden or Egbuka. They woulnd't have had to use a 3rd round pick to get Pickens. If they picked Harmon, maybe they don't trade Parsons for Clark.

It is way too early to evaluate this draft but if in 3 years only 1 or two of these guys pan out again, it will be another year of could'a should'a.
I really wanted Harmon, and he was looking pretty good before he got hurt. Think we would have viewed him as more of a 3-tech, though, while Clark was brought in as more of a 1-tech.

Starters are likely going to be Diggs, Bland and Revel. Carson probably isnt much better than Elam but might be the 4th CB
I’m really bummed that Elam has been as bad as he has. I had high hopes. I am disappointed.

I have faith that Booker, at minimum, will be a slightly above average starter.

This class will mostly ride on Eze and Revel's development.

I think given time, Eze will develop into a solid player.

Revel is the question mark.
I recall a zone regular saying Booker was on a HOF trajectory after the Philly game

I dont mind the Booker pick. At the end of the day, its way harder to hit on OL than it is a skill position and you have to get them before they're all gone inthe draft. Booker has the tool to become successful and a 5 game sample size isn't a set in stone moment.

Dallas has a really good OL unit (8 deep) that most teams would die to have in this league Dolphins/ Panthers are two off the top of head. Our backups would be starters for them right now

Too many incompletes, you can barely form an opinion of these '25 draft picks. '24 is looking decent after last game. Just ready for the young players to get healthy so they can get experience...Booker, Beebe, Guyton, Revel.

I agree. I don't think Harmon's that pure penetrator 3 tech, who gets past the guard's shoulder at all costs. He's more of a run plugger who can also get some penetration.

He's in a good spot in Pittsburgh. That is exactly the kind of guy they want from their 4 tech in the one-gap 3-4.
