Some minor tweaks

Laughable to think they could replace Micah with 3-4 scrubs.
I don’t believe the plan was to replace Micah all of his stuff transpired after draft and FA

I think they wanted to sign Micah but stuff went south

Nobody fully knows why is was inactive. I get how he was in college, but the speed of the game is much faster on this level
But we do know when a player is injured most of preseason comes in a game and gets reinjured they're going on a wet field on the road in a big time game they put him on the shelf because he was injured exposing the guy to that kind of atmosphere you're talking about injured would be a mistake is set the guy back for the whole year I believe that would be the best take instead of they were protecting the young rookie have you seen all the running backs this year so far all these allegedly better running backs we should have picked and I realize it's week one most of these guys had under 3.5 yards per carry and they had almost 0 impact..

See Ashton Jeanty you know Mr AJ, generational ,and again I know it's Priest, early but I don't Ezekiel Elliott ever having one game in his rookie year that was 19 carries for 38 yards... Martinez was cut Omari and Hampton look average.

To name a few but I can't wait till tonight's games over so we can list all the running backs and their production so far after Week 1 and you'll see that our room actually looks pretty good but it would look way better with Blue giving us some juice back there......

Serious I was just like poking my head in every once in a while and looking at the stats Even guys that were picked in the first three rounds I didn't see anybody that was super impressive the only impressive running back this start to the season has been is once again King Henry just lit it up.. I mean I even took a peek I don't think Jameer Gibbs looked good either look at the Lions they're running backs were supposed to be good again I realize it's week one but everybody in our little fan base wants to overreact show me all the running backs that were better than our running backroom there won't be many.. and judkins hasn't even signed yet.

Now I'm rambling but I just remember yesterday just poking my head in and I wanted to verify tomorrow when we see the running back stats that there was a whole bunch of average running backs out there in week one a lot of which people wanted here that everyone said we had the worst running backroom in football and I'm telling them they're wrong....

I've been waiting for this guy to get old and fall off a Cliff and now I wish Jerry would have went and got him last year because I didn't realize he would have this much life left in his body..

We saw Saquon Barkley and I know he'll have a great year but 3.3 yards per carry I mean people are dogging our backs and saying we need to make changes look at the other post on what Jerry should go out and get and they keep talking about running backs we already have those we can bring them off our roster first Blue and then in a few weeks bring back Moffa and I think we'll be fine...

For his first game though Williams is actually pretty good solid steady again look around at league and try to find me a bunch of players that just were better than him It's just far as moving the balls doing his job ETC.

The thing we needed behind him was the juice we had the Thunder we need the lightning...... Had no choice if he's healthy to put him in and just welcome to the NFL you learn as you go he's not a liability if all these other guys can play as rookies so can he...

the year is gone, experiment, get information, lay down new schemes and prepare for 3 years.
They just went toe to toe with the defending SB champion, and with Lamb playing to his ability probably would have won, so while I am with you that the Cowboys aren't likely SB contenders, this game shows this can be much more than just a throwaway year.

All those moves don't make the team better.

They make the team a lot better!
I don't get the Sanders hate. Who else had a 49 yard gain in the game. Yes, he fumbled the ball. It happens. If it is a consistent problem then I woudl understand.

Just 1 week, but a few adjustments I feel the team should consider:

-Kneeland has earned the right to start. Fowler was a liability against the run.
-Give more snaps to James Houston, he is a legitimate play maker
-Consider taking Sanborn off the field in obvious passing situations with either the more athletic Marist or James
-Give Stewart an opportunity to start at nickel, Eagles were targeting Elam
-Replace Sanders with Blue at RB #2. Sanders the veteran was a big part in the team's loss with his fumble
-Replace Tolbert with Flournoy, who is the best overall player
-Consider using Luepke more then using the 2 TE sets
My 2 cents:

I don't care who "starts" but yes Kneeland is a much better run defender. Kneeland did play a few more snaps than Fowler but I don't know the breakdown between "run downs" and "passing downs" that each played to comment other than agreeing that Kneeland is much much better against the run

Agree Houston has earned more snaps

We play two LBers in passing situations. Murray is horrible in coverage and needs to be off the field. Sanborn isn't great in coverage but he is better than Murray who gets lost and just chases. I'm not sure they trust James in coverage. He is clearly more athletic, but I'm not sure if he knows his responsibility or not. Sanborn does even though he is average at best at it. I think the team trusts Sanborn and i would to if it were my call.

Totally disagree on Steward over Elam. I'd be pissed and on here yelling if they did that. I don't get this comment. Elam was very good and had good coverage on the long completion. Again, please no on this.

Sanders stinks and has for a few years, but Blue wasn't ready week 1. If Blue is healthy I think he is #2 and once Mafah is also healthy I think Sanders is cut.

Tossup, Tolbert is the #3 for now. I think the Flournoy hype is a little over the top but I do like him.

More two TE sets in general. Luepke isn't as much a TE as he is an H-Back. I like when they start him in the backfield and motion him to the H-Back spot. If you are going with a pure TE, then one Spann-Ford or Schoonmaker are a better option. Neither of them play as much as I thought they should either.

I believe because he was caught by a LB from across the field even through Sanders had a 5 to 10 yard head start. Does not speak to him having any speed any longer.

-Elam should have a long-leash until that make a change.
-Tolbert's game on Thursday was awful, the point where you have to see if another player can be better
-Marist has to become a bigger part of the LB core, he is more athletic then Sanborn and better instincts then Murray. I agree, Murray would be the first to go to the sidelines if they give Marist more snaps.

i agree Omer, but here's the thing I think about. Last week's excuses- or reasons- dont apply this week. Last week it was: Week 1, On The Road, VS super bowl champs.

This Sunday it's Week 2, at home, VS a bad football team. If somehow Dallas manages a loss here, the vultures will be circling- getting ready to pick on the cowboys carcass.

Obviously you're right - the perception of the team will evolve as the season progresses. All we can judge from at the moment is one game though, and for now I don't see how anyone could say the season is lost

If it were my call Liufau would be playing almost full time. Run downs and passing downs. Plus i love the way he punches at the ball while tackling

I think we all agree, but the coaches are leaning on the veterans thus far.

30 years, lets keep telling ourselves that

Keep in mind that Carter was out and we had zero answer for Hurts.

My guess is blue isn’t trusted as a pass protector. I’d love to see him get active and some snaps. Can’t really learn blitz pickup watching

He is the last line of defense on their QB, they have to be comfortable enough with him.

I'd agree. He's developing nicely.

Most definitely

James has to be active first. I may not understand the why, but respect Shotty for consistency with players having to be consistent, that's in reference to Marist

Maybe we get Winfrey this week?
He's on IR

If anyone was on the draft zone, I was a huge supporter of UCLA's, LB Swes.
I hate Cleveland for this reason lol Was my guy too. Imagine O and him together.

Man that’s my point as well! He got us down there. Yes he got caught from behind but that’s the NFL.

Agree.
I’ll go further and say that J. Blue needs to be the feature back.
I’ll go out on a limb and say, if Jaylen Blue stays healthy, and he gets his share of carries, he will become the starting RB sometime during this year.

We all know it's been 30 years since the Cowboys won the Super Bowl, but not every one of those 30 years were over after the 1st game of the season. I'm not saying it's acceptable to go 30 years without going to the Super Bowl, but that doesn't mean the team is done and can't be competative based on one game narrowly lost to the defending Super Bowl champs
