Here are some of things I noticed interesting around NFL and Cowboys:
Maybe the real deals?
1) Drew Brees: I liked him coming out of college and was not so sure after
His initial play. It might be too early for this year, but I was impressed
at his play against cowboys, especially his quick decisions/release etc.
2) Larry Johnson: I was one of those guys who defended him after his draft,
As everyone told me that he was going to another bust. Initially he did
give every indication, that those people were right and I was wrong, but
he might be the real deal or at the very least not a total bust like other Penn
State RBs from recent past.
Holy Batman?
1) SF: Oh boy, I didn't see that coming. Especially when I saw the Rams
Pre-season game against Lions where they looked great on D. Lesson on
pre-season is reminded there again. Not sure this one will be a cakewalk
for Cowboys like I thought before. On side, note, I liked Tim Rattay
and didn't understand why they were so eager to turn over the reigns to
Smith so soon.
2) Miami: Oh boy 2, who the heck expected Miami to take Denver to woodshed??
Man, Shanahan must be totally done after the this year or atleast Plummer,
if this continues rest of the year. Got to see how Miami does rest of
the season before we start handing over Coach of the year to Nick Saban.
3) Vikings: Ok, what the heck has Culpeppers excuse now? You know, I am one of the
Guys who thought Vikings will be better off without Moss. Its only first week
But this should be an interesing one to watch.
Pre-season Hypes?
1) Seattle: Well same old seattle, and boy Matt Hassleback look all world against Cowboys.
Thats were I am worried about our D right now too. Pass D still is a work in progress.
2) Panthers: Well maybe its the NO just playing great but Jake Delhomme, as much as I like
him he makes too many mistakes or throws up the ball for grabs.
3) Cardinals: Oh boy another pre-season kings and favorite of analysts to be suprise team.
We got to see how the rest of the season plays out I guess.
4) Jets: What the heck is wrong with Chad Pennington?
Anyone got others?
