- That the Giants are in better shape than us

- That Atlanta will burn us again, not beating them sine 95'

- That Romo is back to earth and now must figure it out

- That TO and BP are at complete odds -s so bad that the locker-room is split.

- That we will pull a choke like last season and miss out all together

- That we will finish behind the Giants and have to go BACK to NY in the bitter cold for a road playoff game.

- That look on Parcells face has me furious, he just sat there and pouted the whole game.

- How good can we be when we were outcoached, outmuscled, outfanned, out hustled, outsmarted, in our own building so badly - how good are we??? are we a fluke??:banghead:

FWIW, we beat Atlanta in 1996 and 1999 while losing to them in 2001 and 2003. What does this ultimately mean? Not a damn thing.

I'd love to turn your frown upside down, but it's not in my DNA.

Let me take the parchy bat to some of these fears and see if we can't hammer some of these bad boys out.

Says... the team that just lost to us? The Gnats are not a push over team. The fact that they stood tough with us proved that. But Coughlin can't run the tight ship he wants, they are injury RACKED and we went into their house in the biggest game all season and beat them at their current best. You won't see them play better than they did against us all year. Oh yeah and they're still behind us in the standings. No worries here - they're not better than us.

If there is anything I've learned covering football it's that the past amounts to a ginormous hill 'o beans when it comes to football. Greg Knapp, ATL's o-coordinator and the guy that coached TO in SF, is on the outs because he's absolutely scrapped their passing game with this bogus WCO. Trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. Vick is dangerous but the Falcons have handcuffed him badly. Add to it that Romo is playing indoors against an old defense. I'm feeling a big rebound game.

If they don't have Dunn? Forget about it. But no Dunn OR Norwood? The Falcons should be 10 point dogs.

Tom Brady threw for 78 yards against the Dolphins last Sunday and was blanked. Think the NE faithful are worried. The key to good quarterbacks is not weathering the bad games, because everyone has them. They key is having faith in them getting back on the horse. And Romo has given us no reason to believe he won't. The guy is a gamer.

I've been in the locker room - the thing's not split. You've got a bunch of grown men who want to win, and TO is not hindering that. Just going to have to trust me here.

This, however, is a valid concern. At 7-3 nobody thought we'd miss the playoffs. The difference this year, though? The tin man isn't behind center for us. Romo is clutch - see NY #2 for examples.

Romo won his last game there. Until he loses (or even shows any real weakness when it matters), don't worry about the weather or the Giants. I'd worry more about seeing NO again in the playoffs.

I'm not sure what this means. When the camera focused in on him, and I think you'll agree with me that the media has an agenda, he showed concerned consternation. And when did they show Parcells' face? When NO scored. And they scored a lot. I'm not sure what you'd like a 64-year old football coach to do when the team is scored on, but it's textbook Parcells. Nothing new here.

Every team is outmaneuvered at some point in the season. Sometimes coaches simply hit on a winning gameplan. If you're going to be realistic though, you've got to realize that it's not been a trend. Until it is, chill out. We're gravy, baby.

Quit listening to the jokers at ESPN and/or that total moron Randy Galloway.

Things are fine in that locker room. Let that concern ease from your brain...we have much bigger ones.

You're over-reacting a bit, imo.

Yes the Giants are good, but we're in a better position. As was previously mentioned, NO is a bigger threat.

If you want things to worry about, start with the lack of a pass rush.

I don't care if it's bad personnel or a bad Zimmer....if we can't figure out a pass rush this thing won't end up in Miami. A good pass rush covers up #31s warts, it covers up Henry's warts, it covers Davis.....and in the end, it covers Romo's warts. Romo and the offense can get you 21+ a game....but without a pass rush, you're asking for less than 24 from the defense against good offensive teams, and there is no guarantee on that.

One week we limit the dynamic Colts offense but two weeks we give up 40+ to the newfound offensive juggernauts, the Saints. You can't have that inconsistency....and it all stems from the pass rush. If the natural 3-4 isn't getting it done, then you need to send something more...and if we don't, well, we're going to feel like the 7-4 or whatever last year.

blow out losses kinda have that effect. couldn't have come at a worse time either.

but dallas has shown some ability of late as well.

let's see how they respond on the road in the ATL. if they come out firing - then they just hit "a bump in the road" last sunday nite. and if they flounder - your fears are justified.

it's a long season and one game is STILL just one game. i've seen how things can change from game to game. i sure hope WE see it again this saturday.

'boys are anything but dead.

Those are all legit fears and right now we are a team on the brink of imploding.

One loss and we are imploding. The Giants were imploding until they beat Carolina last week. The Eagles were imploding until the last 2 weeks. Good heavens we lost a football game.

Well, I'm a little nervous as well. The 'Boys couldn't do anything to stop the Saints and all BP said was "well, these type of things happen." He said almost EXACTLY the same thing after last year's debacle in Washington. We then failed to make the playoffs. That's not a legitimate excuse. You make adjustments, you settle your team down, and have them believe in themselves. You don't go about worrying about your team's confidence and mention this in a press conference.

I feel the awesome Vick will show up on Saturday. I think we'll forget how to play run defense, and the Falcons running game will take off. Every team seems to play as if its the SB against us. I'm tired of expecting bigger things from this team, and then having my expecations be shot down in a ridiculous manner.

He'd been gone for a while... All through our winning streak. A textbook example of a rival fan posing as a Cowboy fan. And sure enough, he pops up after a freak blowout loss at home. :laugh2:

As my grandfather would've said: "Pay him no nevermind." :D

True. But at least after that shellacking we did come back and play strong against Carolina for the W... not like we tanked.
