And so it continues:

“They could, in theory, attempt to trigger forfeiture of the Dallas franchise,” Florio reported. “A league source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that multiple owners already have been discussing the possibility, which flows from Article VIII of the NFL’s Constitution & Bylaws.”

The action would be under the guise of Goodell himself concluding that Jones “has been or is guilty of conduct detrimental to the welfare of the League or professional football.” Under the current CBA, this is well within Goodell’s power.

Y'all have to take this with a grain of salt. Remember the clown that reported this is a guy that thinks disrespecting the anthem on Veterans Day is a wonderful thing. He's a crackpot. Not to sound ARROGANT, but the Dallas Cowboys are NFL football, and whether they like it or not so is Jerry Jones. He is the most powerful owner, and by far the biggest moneymaker. He'll have the last say.

Just a bunch of empty threats from both sides. Both Jerry and the League are at the stop light revving the hell out of their engines. When it turns green, neither are burning out and both will drive the speed limit....

The standard worthless homer "Jerry will live a long time!" response.

Litmus test for intelligence of a Cowboys fan and it's foolproof - Does this fan hate Jerry Jones?

If not, you got a real melvin on your hands.

You must have a real problem with reading comprehension.

At no point in time did I say I think Jerry is doing a good job as GM.

He is a terrible GM and I wish he would give up those duties.

However, I also know that he is going to hang onto life and running the cowboys as long as physically possible.

It’s unfortunate, but it’s the reality of the situation.

I didn't fail to comprehend anything. You did what every homer does. Pretend Jerry is going to defy father time.

It's worthless. Much like your username.

One of the worst ideas to be undertaken in the near future or anytime, for that matter, would be to support a forfeiture of the Cowboys' franchise.

The loss of revenues in itself should rightfully be a serious deterrent to such an action taking place.

The Cowboys are one of, if not the, most popular attraction in the NFL to provide both TV revenues and stadium profits as well.

Causing a forfeiture of the Dallas franchise would be a foolish action to undertake in too many ways to be worthy of support.
To even be rationally practical here, such foolish nonsense just isn't worthy of serious consideration.
