Lost in all the hand wringing about this loss are a few brights spots. Call me Mr Blueskies--oh yeah Joey Harrington already has that title.
1. Patrick Crayton is a flat out play maker. Starting with late last year against Washington--it seems everyone of his catches is huge--either a much needed first down or gain or a momentum changer like yesterday or against the Chargers. That TD yesterday woke us up and got us back in the game.
Crayton and JJones may yet save last years draft which looks like bust city
2.Our secondary was rock solid after say the first quarter. Newman is coming on and playing with more confidence and Henry was back in form yesterday. The one cloud is that Davis looks out of place--and a second late on everything
3. McBriar is our MVP--I love it when you see him kick the ball and all of a sudden the punt returner starts sprinting back towards his goal to field the ball
4.Brady James looked more active yesterday--at least you noticed him in the piles. Frankly he is basically a rookie at the inside position
5. Ware is coming on. Slowly but surely you can see signs. I know he made rookie mistakes yesterday, but be patient. Think of what we can do with him as he matures and becomes more comfortable. It seems they basically are rushing him from the right side all the time-but hopefully he can come from any direction--and he already is freeing up others to make plays. I can see him providing that outside pressure that makes a QB step up into Glover or Spears etc
6. Did I say Canty is a beast?
