and pick a QB from out in front of us and we are going to be out of the QB race for a top pick at the position.

That is my feeling and nobody seems to think that is a possibility.

Thoughts?

I hope they pick Goff and we select Lynch leaving everyone else locked out of the Rd 1 QB hunt

It's a definite possibility, especially if neither Tennessee nor San Diego are enamored with one player. Either or both teams could trade down to a team locked into getting one of the quarterbacks.

If someone feels that either Goff or Wentz is a franchise caliber quarterback, they might be willing to pay the cost. And while I wouldn't hope Dallas did that, I couldn't completely criticize another team for going after the most in-demand position in sports.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. In fact, I could see the Browns selecting Wentz, then the Rams trade up in front of us and draft Goff.

At that point, I'm not so sure I'd want Lynch at 4.

I think the Chargers are locked in on Ramsey heading to the combine, it could change.

Significantly more trades are rumored or expected than actually happen each year. I would honestly be shocked to see a team trade up in a draft dominated by the second tier players.

That's not to say it wouldn't happen, but as long as the Cowboys aren't dumb enough to do it, then we stick with our board, even if it means taking Tunsil.

If some team wanted to move up at the price it would take to get to Tennessee or San Diego, if I am Jones give them a call and ask for a slightly lesser but fair deal.

I like the idea of Goff or Wentz, but if someone offers a Griffin type deal or even a little less, I probably take it.

Cleveland is just about a certainly to take one of them, likely Wentz. Once that happens, you might as well end the QB talk for this year. In fact, just shut down the entire draft.

Did Risen take over your account for that post?

I would absolutely applaud any team in the NFC making such a ridiculous trade. Particularly one that needs a lot more than just a rookie QB.

Indeed. It's something I could see happening though. The Rams will need butts in seats, and they need a QB.

They need to get their new fans excited. What better way than to draft Goff, who played at Cal? I know it's not UCLA, but I think it would build up some excitement there.

I actually think the Rams have a pretty solid roster.

I was talking about shutting down the QB talk to the Cowboys for the entire draft.

If we do not get one in the first, I am all for just moving on and hoping for the best rather than burn a 2nd or 3rd or even middle round choice on any of the second tier players.

GM's jobs are on the line in Ten and SD. I cant see one of them passing on Tunsil as he is a fit and huge need in both places. That leaves one of three QBs at 4 no matter what trades are made.

Qb makes sense to the Rams for sure. Because the O will run through Gurley now.

What if two QBs are picked ahead of us? That means Dallas gets to pick one of the two best non-QBs in the entire draft. That's big time.

Let them give up a kings ransom to move up. Sit at 4 and take Jack or Ramsey--I'm cool with that.
