First off im shocked by the reaction by the majority of our fans after the game. We won. You guys should be happy. Eagles 0-1. Giants 0-1. Is anyone worried about the Skins? I didnt think so.

Lets start with the unit that most of you are not pleased with.

Does anyone want to debate now that Newman isn't one of the best corners in the league? Getting him back is vitol for our pass defense.

We have to be able to roll coverages to Henrys side and let Henry do what he does best.

Reeves didn't do as bad as I thought he would. At least he showed something. He got scored on a couple of times but he broke some passes up too. I think with more PT he will get better.

Now for the big one. Jason Ferguson out for the season. Guys that kills us. If I were Jerry i'd be collecting all the info possible on Tank Williams right now. We need him and he needs us.

I thought our defense did a poor job tackling, covering, and everything.

Spencer looks like he was a good pick, ay?

Roy Williams might have played his worst overall game as a Cowboy. He really has to get it together for our defense really to take on a dominant roll.

I will say this though. At least we stayed aggressive. New York would have torched us either way. I love the fact that we just kept the blitzes, and stunts coming.

Eventually this defense is going to be good this season. Last night just wasn't it.

Offense was just amazing.

Marion Barber is officially the best back on this team. Sorry Julius.

That being said I don't want Barber to start. Let Julius get in there and run side to side and let the defense get worn down a little because when Barber comes in everything just picks up.

Hes like a shot of adrenaline and I love the roll we use him in and would like to keep it that way.

Offensive line looks really good but guys have to stop being dumb and getting penalties called on them. Flozell for once in your career have a season that cuts down on false starts.

Big Leonard. I love you. Your kicken butt. But cut down on the penalites.

Crayton and Hurd played a heck of a game and will get better in their bigger rolls but this offense will be unstopable if we see Terry Glenn this season.

TO looked like TO.

Witten looked like Witten.

I saved the best for last. Romo.

Romo threw 4td's, ran for 1. He played like a MVP last night and I wish I wasn't at work today so I could hear guys like Skip Bayless make excuses as to why he played good.

The INT he threw was just a good play by the DB. That guy was no where to be seen and just broke off his original coverage and cut in front of that pass like he was a receiver. Nice, nice play by that guy.

Romo was just killen New York though. Buying time, making great throws, and giving guys opportunities to make plays.

Overall if the defense doesn't pick it up it will be hard to win a lot of games in this league because there will be weeks the offense gets shut down and we will need the D to come through.

Im happy though. We are tied for 1st after week 1 and I think the things we did wrong are all correctable.

If Jerry Jones does that, Tank Williams will be a non-factor for half the season because of his impending suspension should he join an active roster. We need to go another route to patch up the interior of the defensive line. This may be the opportunity for Remi Ayodele to shine, but it'll probably only be on running downs. Ratliff will do just fine on passing downs. The key will be platooning both guys each game.

Good overall post, though.

NO to the tank. Trouble is not needed. AND he is out 8 games anyway. NOT to mention I really doubt he can be a good full time NT.

Good Post. We may be fine without T-new vs the Dolphins IF he needs more time.

He was consistently getting pressure last night.

I only noticed him 1 time in coverage. Shockey had a step or 2 on him but he was right there and I couldn't tell if he tipped the ball but he definetely made it a tough play for Shockey which he eventually didn't make.

Also did anyone see how big Shockey looked last night?!?

He has NEEEEEEEVER looked that big. That guy either got after it this off-season or something in his medicine cabinet got after it for him.

Lets put his trouble in perspective.

Look at what some people have been forgiven for in pro sports.

This guy had illegal guns and got kicked off the Bears for the Alcohol thing when he wasn't even over the legal limit.

He deserves a chance and right now we need him.

People are going to run right at us and if this defense gets off balance it could be bad. He would definetely help.

But if we sign Tank, he is not going to be a factor in stopping the run for eight games.

Good Read.

I like this part...

What does this mean? Because I thought Henry had another horrid game.

Thats fine with me. Hopefully we can do our best to stop the bleeding in the meantime.

The worst thing that could happen to this defense is for people to consistently run on us.

If you can run the ball you can make an entire defense collapse.

Tanks a small risk big reward in my opinion.

We just lost 1 of our 3 key pieces on this defense. One of the guys we cant afford to lose we lost.

Sometimes you gotta gamble when things like this occur and I believe now is one of those times.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but the 'reward' is half a season down the road. If we don't fix the problem now or soon, the reward will possibly come too late for this season to really matter.

I want a healthy Tnew as well, but Chambers can really hurt us with his speed. Thankfully, the fins seem more content to run a dink and dunk offense, or at least they did versus the skins.

The skins D was weak against the pass. Clearly. A good passing team will eat their lunch.

The Skins defense looked outstanding... They didn't give up 35 points at home either.

Rogers is a bum at corner for them, but other than that, they looked pretty good. Campbell was up and down all game, plus Moss dropped a few passes. They could pose a problem running the ball IF we don't address the problem of losing Fergy.

Was Spencer the one who threw Eli down on his shoulder?

i think he did it twice...earlier in the game (when Eli tried a shovel pass) and then again on the 2 point conversion attempt. when he hits the QB, he really hits the QB

That's the thing I noticed, and enjoyed during the game. When Spencer gets to the quarterback he brings the pain.
