On the 90 yard TD pass we gave up, what happened? Was it blown coverage, Slip or what.

I heard the call on the radio but haven't seen the game since I am on the road right now.

Just curious. Thanks.

it was a lucky play for Denver...covered in prob 2 or 3 other threads now'

Nate Jones was right there, nearly (and may have) tipped the ball...Davis was late getting there as well...their WR caught the ball and ran

Ramsey was almost sacked as well

Jones was with the WR stride for stride, but turned to look at the ball, and mistimed his jump, falling down when the WR caught the ball.

The safety was nowhere to be found.

Killer was supposed to help, is my guess, because he couldn't have done anything else as the other routes were miles away. Just one of those good passes and catches. 33 had good coverage but 29 should have been over the top. Oh Well, they are backups for a reason.

This is something we may see every now and then with our style of defense, but by the time they pop one of those off, we'll be up by 30

Ya, it's a product of rushing, and we will have to live with it, but in the regular season, God willing, it will be better guys on those plays.

It was Nate Jones saying goodbye to $850,000 a year.

Whether Keith Davis was supposed to be there are not, the catch was definitely due to LUCK. Nate Jones was stride for stride and in good coverage and even got his hands up to block the receiver's view of the ball, but the receiver came down with it.

You may remember from the movie, The Sandlot, where the Smalls was just holding his glove in the air at first and it just happened to fall in... well, I think its kinda the same thing: just a lucky pass and catch.

I hope Nate makes up for it in the next couple games. I want him to stick around.

Davis did a no no. He let the receiver get behind him. It appeared he should have helped Nate.

Check out the two video links I posted on Youtube in my reply above. Not only did Davis bite hard on Ramsey's head fake to the opposite side of the field and away from his deep responsibility--Elam practically did the exact same thing during the same play earlier that quarter.

I would call the play for what it was and that is good play on Denvers part. Coverage was not bad but the WR went up keep concentration and made the catch and scored. I tip my hat to them on that play.

Don't short-change Ramsey for head faking the safety out of the play too.

Was that Davis that gave up on the play? He wouldn't have caught him but it would have been nice to see some hustle after getting his rump burned.

I was upset about that also. Sure, the receiver just beat your cornerback, but he's laying on the carpet. Make an effort to catch the guy even though he has a good lead on you. You never know. He might trip before he makes it to the endzone, but he's still can't be ruled down by contact and where are you???

I agree. He is a vet QB who knows his way around the field. Bottom line Denver did a very good job on that play and we got beat on it. It happens.
