Nope
9-1
7-3
We still play them....we can lose, then beat them to stay up 2 no matter how you cut or twist it. We need to lose 2 games irregardless for your scenario to work....

2 loses
I believe as far as tie breakers go Dallas would be considered to have a 1 1/2 game lead.
For example both Dallas and NYG sitting at 9-3 the Giants would lead the division.

Yeah it's technically 1.5 because we lost to them in game 1.

No it isn't, we have to lose at least 2 more games and they have to win 2 more games than us for us to even tie, THEN the fact that they have a win over us would come in but it won't matter because we face them again so they'll either sweep us and keep the head to head tiebreaker or we'll beat them and the tiebreaker will come down to other things like strength of schedule if we tied. But we have a 2 game lead 9-1 vs 7-3.

Unless seattle loses another game the Cowboys can only afford one more loss,,,, and seattle has an easy schedule after today.

Again which will require Dallas to lose 2 games....don't know your guys math, but I suggest a refresher course

At some point, we have to at least be getting close to clinching a playoff spot of some kind.

lol way to early for this.
We will be going to playoffs for sure though.
just 3 more wins and it is 12-4 at worst.

3 out of the next 6 would be disappointing. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Skins and Gnats take us down a notch.

well I think we win out, but just 3 more is pretty much a sure thing, and 12-4 will get us in the playoffs.
The giants are the big div threat now, only one game behind us.
But if we keep winning and beat them 2nd game that should do it for div champ and at least # 2 seed.
One thing we dont want is to have to go to seattle for nfc champ game, make them come here.

With some caveats, the original statement could be true.

The NFL could contract several teams in the NFC. They could also cancel the rest of the regular season due to fears that it might rain. Let's think outside of the box, people.

At 9-1 and if we win the next 2 to go 11-1, we may have a playoff spot clinched depending on about 6 other teams and what they do over the next 2 games.

If not a spot clinched, we should be pretty well close. If we win the next 3 games we will for sure, but still does not give us HFA or the divison, or it may not.
I need to look at all the tie breakers because at worse if we win the next 3 and beat the Giants, the worse we can be is tied, but then need to see what the divison and conference record will be.
