I hope you're right. In the 20 years of my Cowboys fandom, I've always just felt like the Super Bowl is this unattainable fantasy that only "good" teams can get to. I guess I never felt like we were one of those teams. To be one of those teams now, to me it just doesn't feel real yet. I guess because I don't even know what it feels like. This "winning" thing is kind of new to me, lol. All I do know is that things do feel differently the last few seasons, a feeling that I've never experienced before. So I hope that's a sign of great things to come.

The Cowboys will be the Super Bowl Champs this year.

I have a very good feel also.....what gives me the glass half full feeling is our depth all around, our mix of vets and younger players, our last 2-3 off seasons also. The tell tale sign for me will be TRAINING CAMP. There are a couple of people that need to show up and a lot that need to stay healthy.

I agree with you to a point. Yes, every team's fans feel a sense of optimism and hope. But there's a difference between realistic hope based on facts and pollyannic hope based on just unrealistic expectations.

For example, even though I had "hopes" the Cowboys would push for a playoff spot. I, realistically, didn't think we had the chance in those 8-8 season because I didn't believe we had the discipline, the coaching and the running game to beat better teams.

But I have a better feeling this year based on the realization ...

a.) We've gotten better on defense with the addition of Hardy (a proven pass rusher), a young DeMarcus Lawrence (who was coming on late last year), a projected pass rushing demon in Randy Gregory and an athletic and smart corner/safety in Byron Jones. Then we get Lee back playing at a position that may prevent him from reinjuring himself and crazy-Ro who, if his head on straight, is one of the best middle linebackers in the game.

b.) We'll be in year 2 of Marinelli's defense, which means we should be even better than we were with a bunch of no-names

c.) Then you add La 'el Collins on this stalwart offensive line, a happy and well-paid Dez Bryant who is back to avenge the "No Catch" and a Tony Romo who is healthier and more focused than ever ...

There's reason for hope that's not of the pie-in-the-sky variety.

Just saying ... :)

A Healthy defense is going to be scare with all the depth. I also think Mo and Carr are going to play great this year for obvious reasons.

Dude I am so sorry. I forget sometimes that all of us fans haven't lived through the greatness together. I forget that the new fans only know this losing feeling. I can tell you one thing it's electric. When we were back in the SB's in the 90's the metroplex was electric! Everybody was in a good mood, and Bill Bates would hold these pep rallies at his ranch for all fans and it was something else!
