If I understand correctly, Bev Kearney was the track coach who had an affair with a student athlete and was fired.

Allegedly Major Applewhite was also caught having an fling with a student trainer but it was swept under the rug.

Yes that's right. I think that is the foundation for this new story that's about to break.

You know outside of a major recruitng violation or somethign causing them to lose scholarships and bowl games I don't see what could be that bad.

College coaches shouldn't sleep with students, but they are adults. I love that Mack brought a championship, but really no one on that campus should feel to safe because of production not scandal.

This is an old story. This story broke like a month ago. The Kearney Story broke in November of 2012.

Over the last decade, Texas has had one the premier overall sports programs in the country...and they've gone from nothing special 20 years ago to the wealthiest program in the entire NCAA.

Like Galloway and others say..."Ahh, the whiney Orange".

And I am a UT fan of sorts.

Just a further note:

There are only four sport programs in the whole country that routinely rank (on average) in the top 10 in the "all-sports" race and also have a BCS football title. They are Texas, Florida, USC, and Ohio St.

I don't know about you guys but I'm ready for a compete overhaul of the athletic department. I hope Powers keeps his job because I like the route he's trying to take the university. On the other hand, if he falls from this then Rick Perry will set this university back many years.

And you sound like basketball and , of all things baseball, have been terrible for 5-10 straight years. UT baseball is freaking iconic.

Classic we're the Jones and nobody is as good as us talk.
In the last 3 years Mack brown has gone from a Boise St offense, to an Alabama offense to now this spring an up tempo offense. We just had the worst defense in UT history. We're losing recruits to a&m and just had two of the biggest blowout losses in history to OU. The game has passed him by but hey, we won it all 8 years ago so lets put our heads in the sand and talk about how good we used to be.
Basketball, they do always make the tournament but no one really gives a crap so I guess it doesn't matter.
Baseball, does Augie even go to the games anymore?

who cares about being 5th in all sports when golf and swimming is what has us up there.

If we have all this money and power, we shouldn't be settling for this crap in basketball at least! Rick Barnes has done crap with some insane talent! Look at the rosters in the mid to late 2000's! It's crazy how many good to great NBA players he has had without a single deep NCAA run since the days of TJ Ford! Football is kind of understandable that they want Mack around, even though I disagree. But Rick Barnes is worthless
