Something Bill Parcells said in WFAN interview kind of rings true right now.

Or whatever that NY station he gave interview after he resigned from the team. That Fans and Media in Dallas overrate their talent or team's Talent.

So while we all are complaining and moaning about Coaches, maybe Parcells was right on money. We just have overrated Players and it was true even last year. Just got few lucky breaks during season last year, and lack of injuries, kind of helped with record last year.

Now that Adversity cames calling, we all see the result. So Firing Wade/Stewart/Garrett or whoever, may not be really the issue. I think Cowboys have major issues on Front 7 on Defense and front 6 on OFfense and thats not going to be solved that soon.

There's no doubt some of the talent here is overrated. Plenty of such players play for our defense.

Also seems like a bit of a cop-out from Parcells, however, trying to cover his butt for why he never guided this franchise to a playoff victory.

Yet, the talent here is who BP brought here.

Funny most here wouldn't give Parcells the credit for that. It was all Jerry
now it's Parcells (post 13-3 season.):lmao:

When/if Jerry Jones turns this franchise over to Stephen then they can start building this team into a powerhouse, until then more of the same it's been like this for years and Jerry is the ONE common denominator, PERIOD.

And thats the conclusion I am coming to more and more, but that thought is depressing, since Jerry is not going to do that anytime soon.

Anyone who would ever knock what Parcells did here is lost. He built this team from the ground up. Now with all the divas we have it's slowly starting to go back to the old days. It might take a few years but this car is taking a sharp turn in the wrong direction again. It's really a shame. We need a coach with discipline other than a select hand full of guys if you don't have discipline you are not going to win a SB. Plus, we almost have to much talent. It might not be showing on the field, but we need some meat and potatoes guys guys that don't care about stats and are willing to do the dirty work.

He was building a franchise the way you build one. Slowly and they last.
Jerry needs it right now. That's what we have, a team with a very short window, full of big names who refuse to play as a team.

Yep, it would be nice to have a few Bill Bates, Teddy Bruschi type guys.

Did you even watch a single Cowboys game last year? We played teams with washed up QBs(Miami's Green), QBs who were on their last straw(Grossman), QBs who were just PLAIN BAD(Minny's Tavaris, the Jets, and the Panthers), who were injury-riddled(Rams and first Skins game), had tons of off-the-field issues(Eagles)...and not to mention too when we played the Giants in wk1, they were still getting their feet wet with Spagnuola's schemes.

And oh-we needed miracles to beat lowly Buffalo and Detroit.

Like another poster said-we had incredible luck with the teams we ended up catching on the wrong foot AND we were injury-free.

We're not catching those breaks this year, and it's ugly head is rearing.

Sure doesn't look like it. Oh well at least my Longhorns are in great shape right now. They're kinda taking this Cowboys disaster sting away at the moment, thankfully.

You mean like how Bill overpaid for an old, washing up RG(Marco Rivera)? Or how about thinking giving the reigns to 50 year old QBs like Vinny and Bledsoe? Or how about his idea of having a slow-footed Keyshawn as his #1 guy? Or how about drafting Jacob Rogers when ALL of the scouts WARNED him not to?

We are slowly but surely turning into the Oakland Raiders.

Another thing I don't like about this team is it has a real bully mentality. It seems that whenever we are dominating and playing well the players seem to only play well in that enviorment. Whenever this teams faces adversity it never steps up once we get punched in the face a few times we hit the mat and fold like a cheap suit. We never take the punch and fight back.
