2008 pretty spot on - and add Roy #11 a Texas guy
Boysboy;2356228 said:You mean like how Bill overpaid for an old, washing up RG(Marco Rivera)? Or how about thinking giving the reigns to 50 year old QBs like Vinny and Bledsoe? Or how about his idea of having a slow-footed Keyshawn as his #1 guy? Or how about drafting Jacob Rogers when ALL of the scouts WARNED him not to?
Dave_in-NC;2356255 said:Yeah, we should have stayed the course with the likes of Q. We never should have groomed a QB, that don't work. Of course don't put any veteran leaders on a team. That is working well. Wea re on the way back down, one year removed.
Dude get a clue PLEASE.
Boysboy;2356265 said:Um, no-Bill P also got alot of his former players from his previous teams to play signicifant time for him(alot like Mike Ditka and Bum Phillips did in their stints with New Orleans)-it NEVER works.
Royal Laegotti;2356226 said:Sure doesn't look like it. Oh well at least my Longhorns are in great shape right now. They're kinda taking this Cowboys disaster sting away at the moment, thankfully.
This is Our Year;2356233 said:Another thing I don't like about this team is it has a real bully mentality. It seems that whenever we are dominating and playing well the players seem to only play well in that enviorment. Whenever this teams faces adversity it never steps up once we get punched in the face a few times we hit the mat and fold like a cheap suit. We never take the punch and fight back.
yimyammer;2356282 said:and Texas Tech is doing that for me, but that is about to come to an end as soon as your longhorns come into town to give us our annual *** whipping.
I wish I could short sell my Red Raiders because they might be the most over rated #5 team in the history of the NCAA (check that, I see the pollsters have dropped them to #8---still over rated as we're about to see)
A4getaboutit;2356250 said:I hate BP but i couldnt agree more with him on this one. I am so sick of hearing Dallas fans that keep saying "We are the most talented team in the NFL". No were not, as somebody said above us Cowboy fans grossly overrate this team. OUR whole Defense is very very overrated outside of Ware and Ratty. Ive said this pleanty of times, We need to clean house on Defense. Keep Ratty, Ware, Spencer and just clean house. I wouldnt object switching back to the 4-3 as well. I think our Defense is better fitted for the 4-3 IMO, we dont have good enough personal to run the 3-4.
Boysboy;2356219 said:Did you even watch a single Cowboys game last year? We played teams with washed up QBs(Miami's Green), QBs who were on their last straw(Grossman), QBs who were just PLAIN BAD(Minny's Tavaris, the Jets, and the Panthers), who were injury-riddled(Rams and first Skins game), had tons of off-the-field issues(Eagles)...and not to mention too when we played the Giants in wk1, they were still getting their feet wet with Spagnuola's schemes.
ThreeSportStar80;2356342 said:I don't remember him saying anything about the talent in Dallas but IF he did it was definitely spot on. Dallas is overrated and under coached!
Royal Laegotti;2356183 said:When/if Jerry Jones turns this franchise over to Stephen then they can start building this team into a powerhouse, until then more of the same it's been like this for years and Jerry is the ONE common denominator, PERIOD.
TEUFELI;2356722 said:Huh? (Is this Stephen?)
Boysboy;2356696 said:Backstabbing is more like it. It was HIM who chose most of the D personnel that we have now-he should have at least manned up and admitted it.
