Something I didn't realize

I don't give Jason credit for the penalties improving, but neither do I ignore the fact that penatlies improved under Garrett.

Did they? Or did they just continue at the pace they were at during Wade's last few games?

And I don't recall anyone saying the team was void of talent. The consensus has always been that there is talent, but there are holes.

Neither did I say anyone said that. What I said is people seemed to have that impression. Or the impression that they were a team that couldn't hang with a good team. There were constant cries of "There's no way they can win against *insert team(s)*" People took the 1-7 record and used it to make the Cowboys in their minds equal to the likes of the Carolina Panthers. And it was silly.
The bottom line is you can talk about the turnovers, penalties or whatever, but those things are part of the game, and they are part of what coaches deal with, and the Cowboys dealt with those things much better the 2nnd half of the season and found ways to win in the 2nd half of the season despite playing a much tougher schedule than they did the 1st half.
Much tougher how? The 3 playoff teams they played the 2nd half were one and done. The 2 playoff teams they played the first half are still playing (one had a bye). The Giants were at their peak the first half. The Giants in the second half were their typical stumbling selves and had injuries to their top WRs. They had 4 games against very low quality opponents in the 2nd half, and in 3 of those games they blew a 20 point lead, lost to one of the worst teams in the league with a rookie QB (in large part directly tied to coaching), and barely managed to scrape a win against mostly 2nd and 3rd team guys.
Of course Garrett has a way to go - never said that he didn't. All I have said is that the team clearly improved the 2nd half of the year under Garrett.

The team improved...somewhat. It wasn't a night and day difference that some seem to imply it was. There were still major problems (some things even got worse), and some pretty poor coaching decisions mixed in as well. If next season is a mirror of the last 8 games extrapolated over a full season, I doubt I'll be very happy.

Whether you have or not, there have been plenty of people "gushing" about Garrett since he became head coach. Many were doing so after his first game and were convinced right away. Some of us are still weary of the problems that still exist though. I hope Garrett improves, learns from his mistakes, gets a good DC (and though I doubt he will, a OC/playcaller), and gets some good players in here and gets the team ready to set a tone for next season. I just have doubts right now based on what I've seen.

You need people to say negative things about him to enjoy the site?

He has red hair and an Ivy League degree. Try not to orgasm with delight at the revelation of these horrible traits.

Ewww....that's a tad graphic.:eekmouse:

Just let there be about three fights the first week of this next training camp, and Jason will be off and running strongly. :storm:

They have folded on each coach.

And many on this board have been suffering from a bad case of Gingervitus since the Giants game.

We'll see, he was still a coach on this team for 1-7, 44-6, and 34-3. Please let's not forget that.

They folded on Wade after 3.5 seasons.

Other than that, what the heck are you talking about?

Says the man that thinks the Eagles are the best team in the NFL and that Mike Vick is the best player in football.

Thanks, but will continue ignoring your opinions.

Lol. Ok. He had a better season than 30 other NFL teams QBs including our broken down fumble machine who by nights throws picks.

And here are their playoff stats.

Mike Vick (aka dog killa) Playoffs - 2 wins, 3 losses, 5 TD, 4 interceptions, 77% Rating.

Tony Romo Playoffs - 1 Win, 3 losses, 4TD, 2 interceptions, 81% rating.

:laugh2: You fail again.

I fail because Romo has won half the games Vick has in the playoffs?

Vick has been 1 more game ...... has thrown twice the interceptions and has a lower QB rating.

Yet you say Romo is the turnover machine ..... :laugh2:

You want me to post Romo stats when he was injured?

Then I can post Vicks stats when he was in jail right?
