Sorry About This In advance

I put this in an earlier thread but that thread was pretty much at it's end, so I wanted to post this again if anybody is interested in my opinion:

I just want to throw something out there. I would love and hate T.O. on the Cowboys. I haven't made up my mind which way to go on the issue, but I do want to throw something out there:

YES, the Eagles can trade T.O. before the deadline.
NO, T.O. does not have a no trade clause
That means that Filthadelphia could trade him, but unles s T.O. wants to play for that particular team it probably won't happen. The Chiefs, and most other teams he's been rumorred to go to, do not want to take a $7.5 million cap hit right off the bat.
YES, T.O. can restructure, but he holds that leverage. If he doesn't want to play for a team he doesn't have to restructure.

And just a note for those wondering how we could have anything in place with T.O. already.......The Feacles gave T.O. and his agent permission to speak to any team he wants. I do believe it is feasible that Jones and/or Parcells have talken to him without any notice. Just look at the Broncos. They almost got away with talking to T.O. with no notice from the press, but somebody leaked. My guess, Rosenhaus was try to drive up the price on another team of interest that he already had an agreement with.....let's just say the Cowboy's.

I for one, just can't see T.O. NOT signing with Dallas. All the writing is right there on the wall in front of us:

1. Adam Shefler, who I consider a very viable NFL source, has predicted it
2. Chris Mortenson, the best ESPN has to offer on the NFL, has predicted it
3. Several other "so-called" insiders on several Cowboys boards have predicted it. Take that for what it's worth, but some of these people (such as "Playmaker" on kffl.com) have been correct more that wrong in the past.
4. Jerry Jones continually throws in the reference that we need another WR, even though he's not even being asked about it
5. Keyshawn has shown signs of aging, and T.O. has not, so should that money be spent to keep one malcontent or spent on an even more talented malcontent
6. We all know that Michael Irvan has both Jerry Jones and T.O.'s ear. He could have been playing liason the whole time
7. It has also been reported that both Jones and Parcell have a very good working relationship, and a mutual respect for Drew Rosenhaus
8. I think John Elway, and his opinion, killed the the prospects of T.O. going to Denver. It would kinda be like Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman saying that Dallas should not touch him.
9. The owner of the DOlphins has publicly stated that he wants nothing to do with T.O. on his team

I just believe, like somebody stated earlier, where there is smoke, Mr. Jones is burning a fire, and I believe that fire is going to get T.O. in Dallas.

Let me finish is off with 1 other little tidbit: Don't believe for a second that the Eagles would not trade, or do not want T.O. to play for the Cowboys. They know 1st hand how he can dismantle a team from within. Why wouldn't they want to see him do the same thing to a division foe? If I recall correctly, there were several reports that Jerry Jones, I think his name is Banner, and Lurie spent a lot of time together over the last week in regards to the CBA. Wouldn't it be the S@$T if they used the CBA to mask a discussion on trading T.O.?

You know, there is a TO thread active. Actually there are alot of them. Try the search button. I don't mean to be a dick, but it's just getting annoying that there are 50 of these damn things open right now.

I think we should drag him out back and shoot him, boys.

Nah, seriously...people are sick of reading about TO already. Starting a thread with an apology in the title, followed by a long-*** post, is not a good way to get your thoughts shared.

Just tryin to help out. Take this in as good-natured a way as you can. :)

Im not a big fan of him coming to Dallas, but whatever, if he's here, I think he makes us better on the field.

Its funny... the ones that post about not liking another TO thread would spend less energy just not posting to it....

T.O. IS a HOT Topic and a very real one at that.
Like it or not HE MAY BECOME A COWBOY and that is news and that is worthy of discussion.

Just because its not dumped into the THE TO THREAD...

I will tell you like they tell me... you dont like a thread or topic - DONT post to it... and wait for Mods to dump into one thread....

I get sick of hearing people say they are tired of reading the TO threads well to be quite honest I'm not tired of hearing it and think its big Cowboy news to discuss. TO signing with the Cowboys could be huge news if he plays to his capability and keeps his off field antics at a minimum. Considering hes one of the top three receivers in the game and one of the few that changes a defensive game plan he is NEWS like it or leave it.

Whether you like it or not, Owens to Dallas is a strong possibility and worthy of discussion until he is either on another team or signed by Dallas. If you don't want to talk about T.O., simply go talk about Drew Henson's throwing motion or Rob Pettiti or whatever, just don't bring it down for those of us who are interested in the topic.

What's the big deal about another T.O. thread? It just so happens to be the biggest thing that will happen to the Cowboys all off-season and sometimes comments get buried in another thread.

Some of you guys act like you are the "Thread Police". If the Administrators move it that's their perogative, but if you don't want to read another post about T.O., just ignore the thread. How hard is that?

I won't deny that. But there is no need to have multiple TO threads every day.
