I feel everyone’s misery but we just have to face facts. Jerry will not relinquish this team until he croaks. He was mentored by his best bud Al Davis and looks at ownership the same way. And when he does croak, it will be just like the Raiders. The team goes to his son who except for stopping some of the crazy Jerry wildcat moves in the last decade, doesn’t seem to be much better. Stephen controls the contracts and was just as responsible for the offseason. Unless Bill Belichick still has enough youth to rebuild a tough team just like Parcells did without burning himself out, or maybe Jerry finally goes with the right young tough smart up and coming Coach instead of his usual comfort zones, just like Al Davis did with Jon Gruden, I’m not sure we’re going to see much light on the horizon.

Jerry yucking It up with his mentor, Al Davis.

You know I just mentioned this on Twitter how did the Raiders improve once al Davis left for sure the Raiders are nowhere near as good over the last 10 years as the Dallas Cowboys have we may only be great in the regular season but going to the playoffs 5 out of the last eight years and winning our division two out of the last three years we have quite a few division wins over the last decade did the Raiders get better when al Davis left did the Houston Oilers slash Houston Texans slash Tennessee Titans really do anything with all those moves and all those name changes seriously what dividends has it paid how about the Cleveland Browns and the Jacksonville Jaguars you guys act like there's some blueprint that if we get rid of Jones or this family sells his team it's an automatic back in the dynasty world you guys are delusional have you watched the NFL the Dallas Cowboys at least have been a top six team in the regular season and at least we're relative playing in prime time and doing something you're comparing us to the rest of the NFL in which there's at least 20 teams on a regular basis that Jerry Jones runs teams are better than in the regular season every year.

I know we want more but remind me how there's this blueprint for automatic success by changing G miss head coaches quarterbacks or selling the team we're moving the team I've seen all scenarios not really work out.... I mean the only one I see that worked out in moving the team that I can think of off hand was the old Browns team didn't they turn into the Ravens and the Ravens won I don't know at least one Super Bowl since the move but really I wanna see all this success that you all keep clamoring about by these regular GM's just because they can be held accountable and be fired show me all the G miss coaches and quarterbacks and ownership like the Browns have had and the jaguars have had and show me all this success that we're promised here?

I know we want more here I know we need more accountability but some of the things said here you act like it's a blueprint to win Super Bowls and I see about 20 teams that are not better than the Dallas Cowboys and if we're laughing stock clown of a front office how is it that we've had more success than about 20 other teams in the NFL on a regular basis with all the stuff talked about in here we're talking about yes man coaching Staffs and soft cultures and AGM who's lost and doesn't know what he's doing and somehow we're winning enough games to go to the playoffs 5 out of last eight years were winning divisions we got teams like the Cleveland Browns that haven't even won a division since 1986..

And is successful right now as the Kansas City Chiefs have been recently they took 52 years to get back to winning a Super Bowl I just really wanna know other than change for the sake of change 'cause you wanna see something different and at least try other than that show me the blueprint that gives you automatic Super Bowl success because that's where we need to be right the next step is getting to the NFC championship game in another Super Bowl but you show me how all these changes that are being suggested in here that been done by so many other teams and they still have not won a Super Bowl or have not won a Super Bowl in a very long time...

right because the Raiders are so vastly improved since al Davis died..hmm doesn't that team have a regular GM and run their team like a regular NFL franchise and somehow I don't remember the Raiders being anywhere close to as good as we have been in the last decade show me show me to prove where you think Jerry leaves or relinquish his power or dies or Steven Jones takes over or for even that matter they sell the team show me all the teams with new ownership that regularly fire gyms regularly fire head coaches regularly make superpower trades and free agency just have a blueprint to automatically start winning Super Bowls on a regular basis because the NFL I'm watching says we have a top heavy NFL where most of the time it's the same teams winning Super Bowls they catch fire even took the Kansas City Chiefs 52 years to get back to that but where is this blueprint I mean where's all this proof you guys talk a lot and I realize you know we're hoping for change we're hoping to finally get over the hump and be really good again but there are a lot of teams that wish they could be top six in the league and go to the playoffs 5 out of the last eight years and wish they were winning divisions more so than not that's competitive yes we're losing in the playoffs and yes it's embarrassing some of these losses we've had lately but I wanna see all this proof that you think these changes that you suggest on a regular basis about regular GM's and selling the team how it automatically puts us back on track for another dynasty

Honestly never really liked the comp, although I can see why people make it on a surface level.

Al cared about winning. His problem was that he lost touch with the game in his later years.

Jones caring abour winning is a facade. He is a businessman that wants to the most profit he can out of his product. He cares about winning just enough to make his team marketable. Winning a SB isnt that improvement. 6 of the top 10 most valuable franchises havent won a SB since 1996

Al Davis was a legit football guy at one time. Jerry never was.
Al Davis was a great football guy at his best. Three SB championships with two different coaches and two different QBs. He was self made in football first as an asst. coach, then head coach, then minority owner and finally full owner. He was even the commissioner in the old AFL for one season. He was one of the guys instrumental in the AFL/NFL merger along with Rozell, Modell, Lamar Hunt and a couple of others and that merger was the biggest event in NFL history. He could evaluate players and coaches. His teams were feared and respected. His slogans of "Commitment to Excellence" and " Just win Baby" were legendary.

But he got old and rigid in his management of the team. The game passed him by and his health failed.

IMO Jerry Jones is like the later years and elderly Davis. He never has been anything near the greatness of Al Davis in Al's prime.
