Sorting through the contenders and pretenders...
By Gary Horton
Scouts Inc.

Even though it's still just September, there are 10 undefeated teams. So which teams are contenders and which are pretenders? Let's break it down.

Dallas Cowboys
Right now, the Cowboys may be the most complete team in the NFC and have a look of a group that will only get better as it gains more experience in its new system. When you break down this offense, you see a confident Tony Romo who is making good decision, spreading the ball around and seems to have developed a good relationship with WR Terrell Owens. The Cowboys are an explosive unit capable of scoring in bunches. Defensively, there is work to be done and they are not dominating or creating a lot of pressure and big plays, but under Wade Phillips they will get better. When this defense catches up to the offense, the Cowboys will be tough to beat.
Status: Contender.

The remainder of the article is posted on my site at http://gryphononcowboys.blogspot.com/ since I think this site has a agreement with scout.com not to post their articles.

I think quietly Bigg Davis is a big part of our Oline beating down Dlines. He is a better guard than Tackle - JMO

Our defense will get better as Newman comes back and ind November when Tank and Ellis are back. Hamlin rebounded and we turned the ball FIVE times last week. Also Burnett is just now back closer to 100% after ankle surgery.

I think we punch Bears in the mouth Sunday night.

That's some earth shattering, highly controversial info there.

Yeah Nors, pretty much everyone on the planet knows Bigg is better at guard then at Tackle.

This just in, experts predict the sun will rise tomorrow.

This just in, Where did Cardinals play him mostly?

Roy is better in the box but Zimmy loved him chasing WR's in deep coverage more......

I tip my hat to Phillips for doing the "obvious". Bigg is a big reason our Oline is upgraded and is an imposing force in a game for us.

Haven't really mentioned it all week, but I think that's huge. Sure, you can say Green just made bad throws, but in the past few years we've played many awful QBs and haven't gotten the interceptions. Somehow we were in the right place at the right time last week, and I don't think it was all coincidence.

I just remember in 2003 when we led the NFL in yards and everyone said it didn't matter, that we didn't get sacks and turnovers. The sacks may not be here yet, but the turnovers seem to be showing up.

'Is' would be the singular version of 'are' or in noun form to be.

If you replace 'is' with 'are' and add the article 'the,' making it "are the texans better than the cowboys," it makes sense.

When people change out verb forms like that or especially if they leave out articles like 'a', 'an' or 'the' that is usually indicative of someone who doesnt speak english as their first language. more than likely you guys hammered him because hes not as fluent in english as you and perhaps you shouldnt just attack people right off the bat.

actually I've been reading his posts for the last week, and seeing many other people have the same problem over and over, and i see him not even trying to make it better.

So no i didn't attack him right off the bat

and second, we shouldn't have to assume what he's trying to say. He should be able to write a complete sentence, fluent or not in English. If he can read what is posted, then he can type a complete sentence as a response.

Agreed.

And if you guys really, truly have problems reading what RIB is saying, it's not that hard to just ignore his posts.
