Biggs: Commanders a possible suitor for Rolle
Paired with Landry would strengthen secondary Brad Biggs

Nobody is going to get a shot at Antrel Rolle until the Arizona Cardinals officially pull the plug on him or sign him to a longterm extension.
Rolle is due a $4 million roster bonus on Tuesday and has a base salary of $8.1 million for this season. One source said he doesn’t want to return to the Cardinals, and has already turned down an offer from the club that averages a little more than $6 million annually.
The Chicago Bears are expected to be interested when Rolle reaches the open market, and a source said that the Washington Commanders could very much be in play for Rolle. He said he doesn’t believe the team is necessarily cued up to make a run at Julius Peppers.
“They’re going to be mentioned with the biggest free agent every year,” the source said. “And the owner can’t do that every year.”
But the source said that Rolle, even if the Commanders overpay for him, makes sense. He’d give new defensive coordinator Jim Haslett some athleticism and allow the Commanders to keep LaRon Landry at strong safety, where he is best suited.
Of course, nothing can happen until Rolle is cut loose. Stay tuned.

Go to the Bears. NOT the Skins!
