I have like 1% hope with this 2nd opinion stuff, let's hope the first guy didn't know anything about his job and just went with the obvious (knee injury -> ACL Tear). But obviously that's not very likely to say the least.

We might see him again this season though even if it is an ACL tear.

That means holding him on IR - designated to return. I would save that, you never know if you might need it.

Lee has come back from injuries before only to get hurt again. I would rather him just do it right. He is not going to be the difference maker late in the season. We simply do not appear to be good enough where his return would be the catalyst to go over the top.

Yeah, I mean everything is possible. I just read this so even if it's an ACL tear I fully expect him to play this season. Unless he's got like the worst genes in history.

Chargers OLB Melvin Ingram returned from a 2013 ACL tear suffered on May 14 to play in San Diego's final four regular season games.

Ingram also contributed in the playoffs
, starting twice and compiling six tackles to go with an interception. Cowboys MLB Sean Lee's ACL tear occurred on May 27, so he's just two weeks behind Ingram. Dallas has yet to place Lee on injured reserve, perhaps in hopes of a late-season impact. The Cowboys would have to stash Lee either on the reserve/PUP list or I.R./designated for return.

But these freak accidents are just such a shame. I don't think his knee is gonna be an issue once he returns, but something else might happen then. It's always something with him, just bad luck at it's finest. Neck, Wrist, Knee left and right, and what not. Always with these damn freak accidents...

I disagree. TRULY great players do not get injured year after year.

There is only one other player in todays NFL that plays the way sean lee does. And thats AP, and coincidentally they both have been injured alot the past 3 yrs. Alot of players make alot of business decisions on the field. IDK if thats the right way or the wrong way to play in todays NFL. But these two players dont play like that in games or practice. And sadly they have paid the price with alot of missed time. Theyre are what you call an oldschool mentality player.

Just a point of reference... Rod Woodson came back 19 weeks after tearing his ACL in the first game of the 1995 season, to play against Dallas in the Super Bowl.

Just for grins...

You've got 15 weeks prior to the start of the season.

Maybe, just maybe the Cowboys put him the PUP list and that's what a 6 week commitment?

That would give Lee 21 weeks to recovery from the surgery.

And if he wasn't close to recovering... Maybe then the Cowboys put him on IR.

Also in the video you can hear Dez yell out ********* really loud. He was mad. Along with Church ripping off his helmet.

I like thinking outside the box. Possible. Now how many can be on PUP?

He is not eligible for the PUP since he participated in a practice. At least that's how I intrepret it.

I think those are training camp practices (post July 23rd) and not offseason get togethers like this one.
