Yup,,, that's one drawback of being a rabid fan, many of the articles written are old news to us.
I don't even read the articles on DC.com any more, it's too repetitive. I watch the break and talkin Cowboys those are usually entertaining.

It's very commonly used in Greek life, fraternities and soroities. Most just call them "neos."

It's a term used to refer to members who are new to the organization.

Which is more ancient? Thus, the humor...
