I love the fatigues. He called it hunting the Raiders. I hope they hunt the Giants next week.

Little cocky but I'll take it.

And he is right. 82 yards rushing in the 1st half is too much.

Brooking basically said the same thing. He wasnt happy that the Faders scored. He said they want shut outs, anything else is unacceptable.

Ya gotta absolutely love that attitude. Hold the other team to 7 points but can't be happy about it. This is sounding like a championship defense to me.

I remember back in the years of the doomsday defense, the early to mid 90's for you youngsters, that defenses attitude was the same. Those guys hated giving up points or yards and always wanted the shut out. You gotta love the way Spears and Brooking are stepping up and saying this, Brooking has definitely brought a whole new attitude to this defense, kinda makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck, and start thinking of the past. Just saying not one to predict, it always comes back and bites me in the a**.

The Dallas' Doomsday defense was in the late 60's and included the like of Bob lilly, Jethro Pugh, Lee Roy Jordan, chuck howley, Mel Renfro and Charlie Waters

IMO the best thing he said was about not letting a team score on their first drive after halftime.

Brooking is perhaps the best free agent acquisition we have ever had.

How we end this year will decide.

Charlie Waters was a rookie in I think 71. But he still played on the Doomsday defense.

The original "Doomsday Defense" included Charlies waters near the end. However, Charlie Waters was a part of the Doomsday II (early to late 70's) defense.

Some of the members of Doomsday II were:

Harvey Martin Larry Cole, John Dutton, Randy White
Ed Jones, Thomas Henderson, Cliff Harris, Everson Walls.

My fault is was talking about the 90's version of Leon Lett, Chad Hennings, Russell Maryland, Charles Haley, Jimmy Jones and Tony Tolbert. I know the original was back even before I was born or just born, Charlie Waters, Lee Roy Jordan, Chuck Howley, Bob Lily, Mel Renfro and such, but when you read some of the posts some of the younger crowd may not know who the originals were. My point was that the attitude of todays defense is just as it was 17 years ago with the 90's guys. It just gets you excited if you were a defensive football player when they say this and then go out and smack the offense in the mouth and shut them down. Love it.

Well Deon might disagree but Brooking has turned out to be a great signing.

It's good to see the D having the O's back, so to speak.

An actual press clipping from Spears, and showing great heart. Then we have Bowen making some stirring of his own on the carpet and remaining fully a team guy and humble. There is Spencer showing that he is hungry, and then Igor showing during game time he wants some 'beef'. Then the offensive line has a media humbling fine court in place....sounds to this fan that the players have their noses pointed right directions and to the grindstone! Did I mention Keith Brooking?

I think Jay Novachek fans might have an issue with that statement. Even despite being a Plan "B" free agent in 1990.

I'm really loving the mindset of this entire team. Spears hit the nail on the head. I really hope the Cowboys keep him under contract for years to come. He is a solid player, and is definitely showing the leadership and character that the Cowboys need on defense.

There is something special going on here!

December looms, but I think this December will be a good one for the Cowboys and us fans.
