I think our outstanding success against the Iggles resulted to a large degree from our excellent field position through the entire first quarter. The excellent field position resulted from outstanding play by our special teams during the first quarter. (They exhibited very good play through the rest of the game.) Can we hope hope to start this Sunday within 51 yards of the Jints' goal line on our first four possessions? We'd have to be both lucky and good to do so. Our good field position is what allowed the offense to open it up. The Iggles bad field position helped our defense bottle them up through the first quarter. If we hadn't gone out so strongly on top in the first quarter, I think it would have been a much different game.

All of this is just to say, unless we are very fortunate in the first quarter against the Jints, this game is likely to look a lot more like the first four games than like the fifth. Let's be prepared to win another tough one Sunday (although I'd love to see us win in another blowout).

Yep. Field position was huge. They kept showing stats about how almost 90% of our plays were in Philly territory.

eagles ranked dead last in kickoff coverage BEFORE playing us, so guess we kind of exploited that in the beginning.

Though they didnt have many opportunities to work on that against us the rest of the game, LOL
