People keep saying bench/trade Barber, but the fact of the matter is that if they do and they don't have a proven commodity or very strong candidate in reserve, they're an injury away from losing a good chunk of the playbook.
For that reason alone if nothing else, they would re-negotiate his contract well before they traded him and they probably wouldn't trade him for what he would get right now. Barber is a good to very good RB right now, not great, not amazing and RBs of late don't usually garner much in trades no matter how great they are.
Whenever Barber leaves Dallas, he'll leave as a top 5 Dallas Cowboys RB. I'm really not all that eager to get rid of him anytime soon myself, even if his role is reduced.
