People keep saying bench/trade Barber, but the fact of the matter is that if they do and they don't have a proven commodity or very strong candidate in reserve, they're an injury away from losing a good chunk of the playbook.

For that reason alone if nothing else, they would re-negotiate his contract well before they traded him and they probably wouldn't trade him for what he would get right now. Barber is a good to very good RB right now, not great, not amazing and RBs of late don't usually garner much in trades no matter how great they are.

Whenever Barber leaves Dallas, he'll leave as a top 5 Dallas Cowboys RB. I'm really not all that eager to get rid of him anytime soon myself, even if his role is reduced.

I don't think this makes much sense.

Washington? Maybe ... but Jerry trading with Napolean?

Philly? Again, I could see them wanting Barber but Jerry would have to get more plastic surgery the first time Barber ran over one of our defenders.

Giants? Not at all. They don't need another back bad enough.

All in all I just don't see us trading within the division but especially not the Barbarian. Last thing we'd want is to give him motivation to run hard against us 2x per year.

I know I'd rather have a 3rd for Barber from say Seattle then a 2nd from Philly.
