Are we interested in bringing him back?? I have heard he isn't close to being healthy yet, so I'd be surprised if he got even a decent deal, so then it would make sense to bring him back at a low cost.

Goes to show you where he stands right now. No big money is coming his way if a team that has your position set is kicking the tires.

I'm actually surprised he's getting any attention at all this early in FA.

No let spencer walk... even if this dude would work for gum... he is just a headache and apart of a culture we need to get away from...

You aren't even making sense. A headache? Dude played hard for years. And played well at that.

Yep, and the year before last was our best defensive player by a mile. I hope we get him back on a one year, see how the knee holds up deal, and then he comes back to form. He could be a beast on the strong side if healthy.

I've seen enough of Spencer, especially since there's absolutely nothing whatsoever that's encouraging about the progress of his rehabilitation. Reportedly, he's still walking around gingerly. If this franchise is truly determined to rebuild, let the Rams have him. It's well past high time to draft some youngsters who have the potential to serve the Cowboys well for the next ten years or so.

I hope he signs. That will officially put an end to our era of underperforming over paid defensive linemen.

This.

I really thought we'd be able to keep him at a cap friendly deal no problem. I like him on our roster in 2014 for at least the purpose of depth, but I damn sure don't want to see us get into a bidding war over him.
