I saw it last night and thought it was great. There were a couple of parts I could have done without but overall it was great.

Yeah, I gave it a fairly positive review. It's not as good as 1 and 2, but I certainly wasn't disappointed. The fanboys are tripping out for some reason. But hey, that's what they do. ;)

The only thing I care about is if I enjoyed the film. :D

First hour or so was really lame and cheesy, once Peter started getting darker it got a lot better. Sandman was pretty much a waste and really wasn't needed in the movie at all, they just left his story off to the side, very poorly done. They completely left out the symbiote for way too much of the movie, and only once it came more into the picture did the movie get good.

So basically, really weak first half with a TON of bad acting/writing/directing, with a strong second half. Many many problems with the movie, but it's decently entertaining on the whole. Definately the worst of the 3. FX still need a lot of work for how much $$ they spent.

I love Spider-man...always have since the 60's cartoons.

But that movie sucked.

Spider-man was in what 10-15 minutes of the whole movie and it you don't count the times that his mask was either tore or completely ripped off it was about 5 minutes.

Toby Maguire...:puke:

So my 6 year old son wants to go to this very badly. He's seen Spidey 2 and was able to handle it... is there anything in this movie that would be notably more objectionable than what was in #2?

Thanks for the advice.

I was disappointed :(

Expectations were too high I guess....seeing how I thought Venom was going to be in it.....I dont even think the the name "venom" was even mentioned throughout the show.

Too much crying.....and I thought the acting sucked....but the visuals were great...great special effects.

Oh well....another comic book movie gone bad.....thought to first two were pretty good.

I thought the FX were a mixed bag. Some were great (sandman mostly). Others were horrible (Spiderman swinging through city still looks bad, and that crane scene was awful). The movie cost more than $250 million to make, and is going to look very poor next to Pirates and especially Transformers in the FX department.

I actually liked it better than the first two. Not so much because of the acting, but because I never really liked the goblin and I hated Doc Oc as a villan.

I suppose the Lizard will be showing up in 4.

Have not seen the new one, will wait till it is on HBO or Showtime.

I will say this though. I thought the first two kind of sucked. They were way over hyped and just not good at all IMO.

However I thought that about the first few batman movies. This last batman movie was the first one I liked, not great, but much better than the others IMO.

I guess I will have to stick with the x-men movies as so far most of the other comic book movies (spiderman, batman, the hulk, superman and the fantastic four) ones have kind of stunk.

Although I look forward to ghostrider.

Ghostrider would have to be the worst just because of Nicolas Cage. :D

F4 sucked also but it had Jessica Alba in a skin tight costume....

GHOST RIDER and F4 blew -- as do most Marvel films. They crank 'em out one after another without any concern for quality or oversaturating the market.

THE DARK KNIGHT next summer is going to be unbelievable -- can't wait.

I just never really cared for DC Comics.

Most of their characters were generic and too goody goody IMO.

I think they realized that after some time and stole ideas from marvel...a reason I think they switched batman and superman to good/bad guys at times.

However all of the superman movies have stunk...heck the only good thing IMO about the superman movies were General Zod and Richard Prior.

All but one of the batman movies have stunk IMO.

Marvel always had the better characters and better plot lines IMO.

I don't think I've ever read a single DC comic... when I was a kid I bought hundreds of Marvel, though.

Off topic - I can't possibly stress enough how much I dispise this man.

You put me in a room with Cage and skip bayless...its gonna get ugly.

I heard S3 was a bit mushy...I think I'll wait till it comes out on DVD.
