Tanneyhill just went down

Kap is a clown and no smart owner invites the circus to town on purpose
Tanneyhill?

Tannehill went down. And that is why they hired Cutler. Admittedly, 30% of Miami's fan base are Cuban exiles, which doesn't bode will for Kaep and his Castro shirt.

Still doesn't explain him not having a job, unless Seattle's GM is to be believed that Kaep is looking for a starting job.

Still, lots of wrong with your post three up. Lots.

Well 25th Hour was pretty bad arse! You should check it out. Fantastic film.

He's also not leading this charge, Idgit. Just making it more news-worthy

"It’s unclear whether Kaepernick is involved in the rally or even wants it to happen. Some would say that the rally is another example of the “distractions” Kaepernick would bring to the locker room, even though he has never said or done anything that is either against the law or against NFL rules."

Also, he apparently spelled Kaepernick wrong in the announcement. Forgive me, but this smacks of trading off of past reputation to try to sensationalize a legitimate issue.

Fair enough. I just wanted to tell you how good 25th Hour was, mainly, my brother.

I'm not looking to get into a Kaep debate on this thread. Unless it with an unnamed other.

I've done good staying away from it.

Kaep is just another idiot trying to impress with attention ***** girlfriend

The vegan lifestyle, the flag protests, the pig socks are all just a lost soul trying to sound intelligent

He is like every first year college student that reads a couple books and thinks they are world experts

She isn't helping with this type of rhetoric

I can't say Kaepernick is an idiot because we've been talking about him doing this all along...he can't play and by stirring up this controversy he would either sucker some team into signing him or become a martyr.

What no Kaepernick conspiracy theorist can rebut is the fact that there were numerous players in the league last year that sat out the National Anthem and they are still employed in the NFL this year.

The difference?

They can play, Kaepernick can't.

I don't really have much of an opinion on the Kaepernick stuff, either. I think the cop socks were offensive, but I don't care all that much about the other stuff.

My only point here is that Spike seemed to be trading off the spotlight--and in a way that might actually not be very helpful to Kaepernick.

As for his movies, I agree he's a talented dude, though I stopped watching back after She's Gotta Have It. Any criticism I have of Spike here is for his spotlight hogging only.

I watched Baltimore burn live on TV...... I see the murder rate higher than NYC...... I watched the cops that got charged with killing Freddy Gray all get acquitted

All this race baiting, BLM, hands up don't shoot, protests/riots got a bunch of cops killed in Dallas and a bunch others ambushed around the country...... I don't support that or anyone that does in any way

Kaepernick made his stand and now doesn't want to pay the cost..... doesn't sound very committed to me...... It was easy when he had a 16m guaranteed contract.... I hope he never plays again

Yes, it's been alleged constantly that he's being blackballed from the league. And again, not one quality rebuttal that can explain why numerous players from around the league did the same thing as Kaepernick and they are employed. If sitting out the National Anthem was so worthy of being blackballed, then Kaepernick wouldn't be the only one to be out of the league.

I don't know about all that. You're right, Kaep may be asking for starter money. Or he may be seen as the provoker in the anthem sitting. Who knows. None of us are on the inside.

He’s not good enough nor does he have enough upside to be a starter. And in this league, teams view it as if you lose your starting QB you’re likely going to lose the season. It’s not a priority in the league to have a good #2 QB because there are only so many quality QB’s in the league each season so chances are you’re not going to find a good QB that will serve as your backup.

Instead, you either want your backup to have upside or to be a true professional that works with the starter. He knows the offense and can work as a sounding board and help the team in practice. You don’t want a guy that stinks to high heaven, has no grasp of the offense and on top of that brings bad press with him. Ideally, backup QB’s should be seen, not heard.

I don't know what the deal is with Kaepernick and the league, but he's the poster boy for the anthem thing. It's not a stretch to assume his status and the spotlight it brings in that regard differentiates him from other players that followed suit.

It's not clear from the Spike Lee stuff, though, that Kaepernick actually wants this issue raised front and center again while he's out of work. I can't see why he would. It's fairly likely this is happening without his consent, or at least without his involvement. Which would be pretty unfair to him, and which is goes to my comments, above.
