Those moments in a move/tv show that make the hairs stand up, bring the lump to the throat, quicken the pulse, etc...

In no particular order:

1. Sopranos, season 5: the episode where Tony and Junior fall out again, due mainly to Junior's mental deterioration. The final scene where Tony asks if Junior still loves him.

2. The Wire, season 1: The shooting of Wallace.

3. Trees Lounge: Tommy asking for another chance with his ex (I can't really do justice to it by explaining it, so just see it if you haven't already.)

4. The final scene in Godfather 2, where Michael is sitting on the bench and the reality of what he's done begins to set in.

5. Return on The Jedi: When Luke removes the dying Vader's mask (I know, I know, but this one always gets me, even though I thought it was the weakest of the original trilogy.)

I would apologize had you (a) adopted a better tone (b) not waited this long to watch the greatest show ever.

The freeing of Morpheus in the original Matrix...specifically the escape from the crashing helicopter.

When the little sister in A League of Their Own hits the ball at the end of the movie.

When the fake Johnny Five gets blown up by the helicopter in Short Circuit...or at least it used to when I was young.

When the alien begins transforming from a Husky into The Thing inside the dog shed during John Carpenter's The Thing.

During too many episodes of 24.

When the ***** open the Ark of the Covenant during Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

The Las Vegas scene during part four of Stephen King's The Stand shortly before the nuclear explosion.

The Crazy 88's fight scene during Kill Bill:Volume One.

When I was eight, I sneaked into the theater to watch The Exorcist. My age at that time probably factors in, but that movie remains my all-time favorite horror movie. No other movie has ever topped it in my mind... and I say that after admitting that I'm a horror movie fan.

For all the CGI and other stuff going on today it is still remarkable how great those special effects/makeup was on blair in that movie.

The Original Salems Lot movie, when the kid's friend came back as a Vampire and was scratching at his window saying "open the window, Mark". There were a couple of scenes in that movie that gave me tha heebidy jeebidies (I guess that was expected since I was only about seven at the time I saw it).

True that. I know that the younger generation now aren't very impressed with the vomiting pea soup scenes, but at that time they were scary as hell.
