Suprised Ginobili isn't there either, I swear at times it seemed he was on Miami's team.

I would be very upset as a teammate.

If I had lost a game 7 in the NBA finals, the last place I would be is partying with the opponents fanbase.

For Shame. Danny Green. For Shame.

Not a Spurs fan but meh. Mario Chalmers did the same thing I believe after the 2011 Finals when they lost to Dallas. He went to party with Dallas players at Club Liv.

Season's over. They got paid and played a hard fought series. I have no problem with this.

He knew the series was fixed anyway, so why does it matter.
They get paid big $ to put on a show just like the pro wrestlers, its entertaining, but all the league and Stern care about is $ so the game results generally display this.

It really is funny how different sports are viewed differently. Please don't get me wrong, I have no dog in this fight one way or the other. However, I have to believe that if this were Football, this would be viewed very differently. It's the nature of the beast I suppose.

I remember in the old days, you would never have seen this. No way would you see Dr. J, Moses Malone and Bobby Jones sitting down to celebrate with Wes Unseld, Bobby Dandridge or The Big E.

No way you would have seen Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and The Chief celebrating with Kareem, Magic and Big Game James.

No way you would have seen Isiah, Laimbeer and Joe Dumars celebrating with Michael, Scottie and Horace Grant.

It's changed over the years.

Fact of the matter is fans get their feelings WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too involved in sports when compared to players. There's nothing wrong with it from a player perspective. Green and Lebron are friends. This isn't a World War. Its a sport. As a die hard Spurs fan, I don't have any problem with it. Fans who are furious and get their feelings too caught up in sports are the only ones who care because right now, these same people feel animosity towards the Heat, therefore in their mind, Spurs players should feel the same when thats not how it works. Green is making a ton of money, partying with a friend, and going home with 3 beautiful women just because he's an NBA "star."

As a person who's been to South Beach several times, including memorial weekend, I don't blame him one bit. Club Liv is ridiculous and he knows he'll be headed back to SA for his camp on Monday.

Off topic, Club Liv is located at the FountainBleu hotel which is super nice. Met Shaq there a month ago.

it bothers me. i was thinking as recently as game 5 how i was hoping he would stay hot and we could get a lottery pick for him in the offseason. He was originally cut by the spurs because of his attitude. I was thinking all this might go to his head, and he only really has 2 skills, shooting and defending. as he made painfully clear the last 2 games, he cant take anyone off the dribble and is a terrible passer, now i dont know what we could get for him in the offseason.

ultimately im not ok with it, but if pop and his teammates are ok with it, then, whatever. i just hope someone like the pistons or kings or twolves are dumn enough to give us their pick for him.

The envelope for this sort of thing gets pushed every few years. It started with Gronk and Matt Light going to the club after losing to the Giants.

Now going out the night of losing is seen as acceptable, which still doesn't seem right to me, and now they're going as far as to party with the guys that beat them? No, I would not be okay with this

I don't care. The bottom line is, it's their job. Sure, it's a job that we love to watch and live and die with, but it's still their job. They fought hard, and they're allowed to not let it consume them. And like it or not, they're all friends.

And, I don't think we can say for sure that past generations of players didn't go party with other players. They just didn't have social media, cell phones, and rag blogs looking to plaster every picture of them doing so.

he planned to celebrate his birthday and possibly a title at that place...the Heat coincidentally went to celebrate as well.

who cares. he is a grown man. he can do as he pleases on his own time as long as it is legal.

after that garbage he threw out there to end the series, he needs to blow off some steam and negative vibes. besides he and lebron are former teammates and friends.

also, the spurs and heat have no animosity from an organizational standpoint.

plus, how often will green get a chance to party like a rock star on south beach.

now, what i do want for green is to go to this party, see what he missed out on, have it fester inside him about how close he got but fell short......then hit the gym and work on his game.......give me a midrange game like rip hamilton. practice his ball handling. practice his penetrations to the basket. honestly, just go one on one with leonard all summer on both ends. it should only strengthen is offense and defense (though his defense is pretty good already).

Not a Spurs fan, but I wouldn't have a problem with him doing it. It is his choice, and he's welcome to it. I just wouldn't want him to be on my team anyway. I would prefer my players be broken up about choking in Game 6, and letting a championship slip through their fingers in Game 7...especially if my poor performance was a key reason why we didn't win.

Like I said, he's welcome to his choice. But it reveals he isn't the most dedicated player on that Spurs roster.

Who wouldn't party after you have worked your butt off for an entire season and it's over?

To each their own on this.

I personally wouldn't be out celebrating after a championship loss with anyone, let alone the guys from the team that just beat me. That's just me though. I don't even really hang out with people and stuff after losses on Sunday's in our local flag football league and that's just supposed to be for fun.
