After the confetti was swept into a trash can and all of the champagne bottles were sent to the recycling bin, a familiar stench flowed from the Dallas Cowboys’ locker room once again.

You’ve smelled it before too much to not realize what we are all drinking. I’m talking about an over-priced bottle of Dom Ahver-hage. The packaging is pretty, and the label is gorgeous, but in the end it tastes like something you could have purchased at the drug store for $4.99.

For those of you who want offensive coordinator Scott Linehan fired, Jason Garrett sent to Estonia and Dak Prescott traded to the Golden State Warriors in return for DeMarcus Cousins, Sunday’s result is killing both your dreams, and this team.

No NFL franchise owns the “interesting” game quite like the Cowboys under Jason Garrett, and it’s either destroying, or making, the team.

You can’t bottom out if you’re always right near the middle.

In the eyes of our Pro Football Hall of Fame owner and general manager, Sunday’s win is a sign that his favorite toy is traveling down the playoff conveyor built.

In the eyes and hearts of these weary and beaten-down fans, Sunday’s win is another sign that Jerry’s toy is going to tease us all and wind up right around .500 once again.

Since Garrett was named the head coach of the Cowboys and molded into Jerry Jones’ vision as his Tom Landry, Garrett always keeps it close.

One word describes yesterday’s game... Relief.

In a game where our offense finally exploded for over 400 yards on offense and Daks first output over 200 yards in 10 games we still needed a last second kick to hold off 1-3 Detroit.

1-3 Detroit beat the greatest dynasty in NFL history last week.

Elliott needed perhaps his best game as a pro to seal the deal.

Not only must Zeke be the leagues rusher but now we need him to be our leading reciever.

If he was on a playoff team he could be first RB since Adrian Petersen to win MVP.

The NFL is a league of parity. We won a lot of close games in 2016 and we were "great". We lost a lot of close games last year and we were "mediocre". This year, it's hit or miss. But we won, so that's all that matters. Keep winning close games and might get to 10 wins or so. If not, you're right -- 8-8, here we come.

I knew that was too good of writing to be yours there dirhard...

It’s always nice to get a win. We should enjoy but not make too much of it.

We’ve beaten two 1-3 teams barely. And dominated by two playoff potential teams.

Thank goodness we have another 1-3 team this week.

Exactly the 1st 4 games this season were suppose to be the easier part of our schedule over the next 8 games or so we find out who we are. Jacksonville, Eagles twice, Skins twice, Saints, Falcons, Titans. I even think Houston next week is going to be a really tough game, they have a very good run D so that will make things hard on our offence also they are a top 5 offence after 4 games, they are a better team than their 1-3 record would indicate

Look the past 4-5 seasons in the NFL really shows how this is an unpredictable week to week league and yes Parody has fully blossomed..Last week NE gets spanked by Detroit , this week we beat Detroit and NE tears a 3-0 Miami Team back down to reality..NE was the only franchise left in the new FA/Cap Era to have a dynansty and thats about over..so week to week it will confuse fans if they dont wrap their head around the fact that it doesnt mater who you play and who they might have lost or beat so far this year, each game has its own DNA and unfolds by the smallest of factors, bounces, inches, odd calls by refs and coaches making odd decsions IE look at Indy took aloss gave a win to Txans instead of tie..Bill Obrien might have saved his job over this decisions.. I get the why but they should have took the Tie IMO as doing wht they did changed a lot of late season or offseason outlooks..

what Texan Team will we see, what Cowboy team will the Texans get? who knows IMPO the cowboys issues have been 70% on Scott linehan and JG play calling and game planning..that team that beat Detroit was the 2016 team we were used too..why Zeke hasn't been used like this EVEY game available is beyond my comprehension and iMO SL still should be fired for that GL 3 straight passes and settle for aFG. run 3 times , eat clock, most likely get aTD or still get a FG..why TH F! would you do this given how well our offense was running, the line, Zeke and rod smith..that and the lack of RPo/ and option ball with zeke and Dak in the running game like the giants, why F! are we not doing that MORE?

these things are our identity, Dak is better QB for it, average starter at best but why would we not do this against a team that is so much like us in Carloina and did it to use all first half and yet we dont break it out, do it against giants and forget against another close loss in seatle?

The reason we are mediocre so far this year 2-2 instead of 3-1 is SL/JG getting away from our identity.. we run block and run better but we pass more then frost 3 games then run percentage wise, why? Dak is more comfortable moving and getting in the flow with RPO/Option ball and up tempo offense, yet we get away from it, Zeke is the star , a work horse, our identity and 3 games he avgs 16 carries only?

It boggles the mind to why our coaches do not just win and lose with this mentality..i rather go down being us then trying hard to trick others by doing the opposite..Just play more like yesterday and maybe we salvage the season at 10-6 but even if we dont at least we went down doing our very best and being who we are, dont let other teams dictate how we play, just force our will on them , win or lose I can live with this....

This same Lions team beat the Patriots though. So any given Sunday as hey say.

1-3 Detroit beat the greatest dynasty in NFL history last week.

The gaps between the good and bad teams in the NFL are way closer than they are in college football. So, not going to complain about a field goal being needed to beat the Lions. A win is a win in the NFL. :starspin:

qb play and coaching are a huge deal in the nfl if u have really good qb play week to week and coaching to match u usually win
